Personally I think Rasmussen should be our first pick striker.
I think you have to judge each game as they come, but for far too many games this year we have dominated games without getting the goals our build up play deserved.

Rasmussen will get his share of goals, but for example, against Rangers, I would be tempted to play him & Fortune up front with Keane just behind, or coming off the bench as an impact sub.

Keane has already shown with his movement & vision that he is on a different level from most of the players we have at the club, & it's clear to see his frustration at some players not making the right decision quickly enough.

Rasmussen can be our prolific goal poacher that we have been calling out for, wouldn't mind even seeing him at the point of a 3 man strike force against the Huns, for me Fortune's strength, pace & hold up play caused them all sorts of bother last time round.

Something not right here tonight Gunt ,this the 2nd time ive agreed with you :50:

He is exactly what Celtic needed ,just someone to hang around the area from 6 to 10 yards out and he is doing it .

No contest anymore for the two striker positions, our starters need to be Rasmussen and Keane. Give them another couple of games together and they're rip the Huns to shreads.

lol I noticed the stange level of general agreement among all the posters in the post-match thread today. Normally its like people have been watching 2 or 3 different games.

Yeah gotta agree with most of the posts, he is a predator and pretty much what we have been missing and I'm sure if we can find someone to put the ball in the box rather than run into blind corners or beat two players then beat himself we will be on a winner. Also because we have that threat Keane becomes a different option which makes it harder for a nine man defence to keep quiet. Just need to find that guy to put the ball in the box now.

Yep a typical strikers goal again today and pressured the defender into scoring an OG too. If it hadn't been for the foul on Keane that led to the penalty he probably would have had an assist aswell.

The understanding seems to be there between the two of them already which is good. I still think we look very shaky at the back though.

This is the first time I've been reading the threads with a smile on my face and some interest for a while now. Hopefully we can keep it up. Hail! Hail!

Oh and Big Razz and Keano should start every match IMO, the number of chances Keano will create will just mean Rasmussen will be bound to put at least one of them away. Also hoping Razza gets a spot in the Denmark squad and represents Celtic at the World Cup.

As a dane it´s always nice to hear a dane are doing well... especially in a club like yours.

Just remember to be tolerant when he prob. makes an * of himself of the pitch or say something that will inadvertebly * of manager, staff, women or sorts!

In regards to the national team, he´s prob. 4th or 5th in line in his position. But could move up considerely if he keeps up the good work.

And look after him, if he goes on a semi-bender in Glasgow one day... he could get away with it in Denmark, not sure a drunk Hun would be that civilized

I read somewhere he had a gambling problem or something..but in the country I'm from (U.S.) your not a great athlete unless you have some problem off the field (Michael Jordan had a gambling problem, Tiger and his mistresses, Kobe raping a white girl and Michael Phelps smoking ganja at a college party).

I agree with what everyone has said about him being the missing link up front and that he should be an automatic starter. My worry is how he fits in to Mowbray's plans. During his post match interview Mowbray mentioned how he thought he could have done a bit more... I thought his link up play with Keane looked good.

First of all, he was the prime target of anyone calling him or herself a sportsjournalist, because he, more often then anyone else, would make some kind of stupid/"not thought through" remark, that they love to exploite in any way.
It was´nt always his fault... but he is´nt the brightest on the planet! And he´s a fairly emotionel guy, so questions asked right after kickoff are more often then not, headlines in some medias.

2.nd.) the gambling thing has been taken care of (for all that i know of).
But he has managed to get a blackeye the night after a match because of a night out... something about grapping the wrong *, and a pretty * of farmerboy that decked him. He did that in FC Copenhagens backyard, and got away with it without getting in trouble from the FCK fans in the place, because that is the way things are in Denmark... From what i know of Ranger fans, i´m not sure, that´ll be such a good idea i Glasgow, or at least know where to party, and where not to.

There´s plenty of stuff on him, that is´nt criminal in anyway, but still pretty * stupid... like the time he got a serious kneeinjury, from sliding on the pitch, in a game that was cancelled before start.... due to heavy rain.

Actually don´t wanna slander him, even if he was playing in Brøndby.

Bottomline... you got an impulsive happy, colorful lad, that often talks without thinking. And does stupid things for fun, but without any thought of hurting anyone or anything.

take good care of him, and if you need someone to knock off a hun-head in a setpiece he can do that, with his eyes closed.

I'll be looking out for that....sounds great........ as for the vegas behaviour....if he does the job on the pitch so be it.....work hard play hard!

    Go'on Rassa !!

I didnt think it was possible Nicodemus but I think you have made me like Rasmussen even more than I did before. We need some characters like him and big Jos.
