Jesus give the guy a break, like he said its something he heard and not fact, lads post up newspaper stories here as 'source' and half the time its media drivel

dont rule it out anyway, how many pages of a thread said Robbie Keane wouldnt come to Celtic unless he was retiring...

Personally id like to see Lambert and Lennon in the Dugout

    Thank you man

As I said, I aint talking nonsense, aint the type, I hear stories all the time also, know a few guys who play also, but never one for passing them on.

Just thought with all the recent threads, and the pressure Mogga was under, it would create a wee bit of interest and discussion.

As I said, nothings a definite, but its very plausible in my eyes due to:

    * Lambert doing very well at the moment in management down south
    * Us struggling to attract EPL championship managers at the moment
    * Lambo being an ex Celtic captain with strong links to the club
    * Also young and Scottish
    * Good head on his shoulders, and conceivably be Celtic manager for some time.

Its all ifs and buts, but it would be a good time for Lambo to take over if offered, due to Rangers plight, were it looks as though they will drastically have to slash the wage bill and sell players, and its not a poisen challis anymore, good time to take over when someone has failed like Mogga (if he doesnt turn it around I mean)

Everyone is saying to early for Lambert, but look at what mowbray had done in his career before he came here, jack *.

Fair enough Lambert hasn't had any high profile positions yet but each club he has been at he has taken them from the foot of the table to the top or there abouts.
Lambert has got something about him and he can get the good out of players.

Lambert in charge and lennon along side him as the motivator I think would be a good combo.

Would love to see Bilic at Celtic, but it'll never happen.
His wages & the lure of bigger leagues will stop him from coming to Celtic.
On a more realistic level, if Mogga walks then Celtic will turn to managers like Lambert or possibly Hughes.
That is the level we are at, we play in a 2 horse league that scrapes by on scraps compared to the EPL or La Liga.
At the moment, Celtic can compete with Championship teams downwards, sometimes with the lower EPL sides, so we have to be realistic.

What I've noticed recently is perhaps that Mogga is too mild mannered for the Celtic job, we need a manager that will prowl on the touchline and give the players an ear bashing when required.

I like Mogga, & we have played some great attacking football, but like the great Tommy Burns, it doesn't seem to be a winning formula.
Strachan had many doubters on this forum, but he & O'Neil before him were always animated on the touchline & had great man management skills.

My worry is that the strain is getting to Mogga, it is a huge job with unrealistic expectations at times, & I'm not sure that he is tough enough to last.
Would like to see him given at least 2 seasons, but things have to improve rapidly.

We have to give mogga time. He has just brought players to the club. I would judge him next season if we dont win league then. Ok sack him but we must give the man time.

What about Willie McStay ? he's ready for coming home anytime soon, of course this all conjecture on the basis that TM will throw in the towel or someone will do it for him.
I can't see the latter happening, so I guess it's down to how TM judges his own performance come the end of the season.

I dont think that this one has legs TBH, no disrespect to the origional poster. I think the board have shown complete confidence in TM with the players that they've bought etc and I think that in the long run TM will prove to be a success here although results have not been going in his favour...

    No offense taken dude

Was just posting the discussion from yesterday mate.

May have legs, may not, just one of those things, and from what the guy I was speaking to yesterday, it was a completely informal approach, gauging whether or not he would be interested if it went * up.

That could of course mean in a month, end of the season, or a season down the line.

Could see it happening though if Im honest, even before I heard that yesterday!

If we HAD to fire Mowbray because this season just got worse and worse, I would like to see an experienced British Manager take over with Larsson as his Assistant. This Experienced Manager (insert name?) could manage for a year or two while not only building a solid team but also training the King of Kings on how to be a manager. Eventually I would hope Larsson could take over because there are kids around Europe who idolized Larsson when they were young and would love to play for him.

The moment I read the word agent, I came to the conclusion that this whole Lambo thing is just bs.
If he ever became manager it would be about 5 years down the line.

The original post said it was a conversation he had, he never said it was fact, so for you to come on and say its bullshit makes no sense!

5 years time, Lambert, if he becomes a good manager will be above Celtic, it only takes one good season as a manager and you are headhunted, why not take a gamble, lets be honest we can't afford any big names like Billic. We nearly broke the bank to get TM and his staff in. I really like John Hughes, but he told Hibs fans he will be there for years after turning down an EPL so the chances of him being are next manager are very slim.

I am 110% behind Mogga wether we win the leauge or not .. He deserves a crack at the leauge from the start with his team next season!! If he gets given this chance i honestly beleive we will walk it .. Then all the doubters will see why he should be in charge! Have some faith people i know it seems bad just now but it will be so good for years to come IF Mogga keeps his job!
