:bbpd:WE CAN GET ALL THE GOOD PLAYERS UNDER THE SUN BUT UNLESS THEY ARE HAPPY THEN THEY WILL NOT PERFORM TO THEIR POTENTIAL. FOOTBALL IS 70% MIND GAMES AND 30% ABILITY. TONY MOWBRAYS BODY LANGUAGE IS TERRIBLE HE WOULDNT MAKE ME WANT TO GO OUT AND BURST MY GUT AND REMEMBER A LOT OF THE PLAYERS THAT ARE AT THE CLUB NOW HAVE NOT BEEN BROUGHT UP TO KNOW WHAT THE CLUB MEANS TO THE SUPPORTERS. WE NEED SOMEBODY ON THE COACHING STAFF WHO CAN MOTIVATE THE PLAYERS.

DO YOU HAVE TO TALK IN CAPS LOCK?

Surely there's a nicer way for you to convey your message.

Please don't type with capital letters. It doesn't make your point any more valid.

Neil Lennon should be back in the first team coaching, if he was in the dugout he wouldn't be standing with his hands in his pockets keeping quiet.

Strachan took him in when we were chasing the gers the last time and it was a lift for the whole dressing room.

No need for CAPS mate, but you make a very valid point.

A managers job is to motivate the players to play the way he wants, to carry out the tactics he desires and to win games. Our manager is currently stuggling badly to do this.

As much as I want Mowbray to succeed, sometimes it's just a case of, " sorry, you've just not got it "

I suspect the players are wise to this and it's clear they're not as motivated or as influenced by the manager like a good one would have them.

It's sad, but maybe big Tony doesn't have it in him.

I'd think about John Hughes as the next boss.

i agree i'd like to see hughes at cp when mobbray leaves.(i hope that wont be for many years though)

Hughes gets the best out of his players, and he also punches above his weight in terms of signings, he is ambitious with the people he trys to buy.

Who would of thought hibs would have stokes, riordan, gow and miller in their side, especially with there being so little cash in scottish football at the moment.

    I think so too.

Hughes is a strong personality, a " players man " he's definatley wiser that some would think. He knows the score too. He's played here, his Dad's played here and If I was a player, judging by the way he conducts himself in comparison to Mowbray, I know who i'd be more likely to be motivated by.

I feel for Tony, it's not going well for him. i'm gutted.

discussing a new manager is off-topic but, Mowbray's body language reeks of a man fighting a losing battle.

o.k. guys got rid of the caps was for the benefit of the hard of hearing "joke". I thought hughes should have been the manager in the summer. i was listning to him on the news tonight he makes a positive out of every thing he says i e he says he is the envy of scottish football with his keepers regarding quality, age and experiance whether he is right or not he has you believing him.

Caps are Ok by me, easier to read.

Another side of the coin here. Why can't players motivate themselves. What about pride in carrying out their trade, self respectand should give nothing less than their best. making a name for themselves, keeping their place in the team etc.
The are paid more than enough * money

I can see what a lot of you are saying about John Hughes. You can very easily see how he drives and gets the best out of his players. Mowbray up to this point at least from what we can see on game day and in interviews shows very little motivational ability. I hope I am wrong and Mowbray goes on to become a great Celtic manager but at this point I just don't see it.
