no you are right sacking mogga would likely do more harm at this point and i do hold out some hope that we can hump Dumferline out the cup, get keane scoring and go on a run but with every passing week, and every dropped point it is getting harder to defend Mowbray; sure we have more or less a whole new team and i dont buy the arguement that selling robson and caldwell is somehow the cause of our bad form :97: we were still dropping points at the start of the season!

as i've said in various threads, i am a mogga supporter but last night was unacceptable, mowbray had it right in the first 20 mins but killie changed it and we looked toothless for the rest of the match

anything less than a resounding cup win on sunday and i think the wolves will be at the door for mowbray

What a load of bollocks.....we're playing right into the huns hands talking * about a protest.....The media will have a fun day.....is that what you want for the club?

Let's just see what the rest of the season brings before we go about judging anybody!
There ain't no sense in changing the management at this stage of the season..
I know it's * hard to take right now but i think we should swallow the pain like real men and women and get on with supporting the team when they need us most!

10 point difference with 6 to play for against the huns, still leaves us 4 adrift (assuming we take the 6 points).
The huns have to lose 1 and draw 1 while we have to win consistently, it's a big ask based on present performance but not impossible. There is no point in hounding out the manager at the moment, as that would only generate more disruption with no gain whatsoever.
We are stuck with him until the end of the season, so let's see what happens between now and then.
As for myself, like everyone else I'm gutted after last nights inept show, it was poorer than anything served up to date. I feel like I need to take a break from Celtic as they are doing my fecking head in right now. However come the weekend I will surely be back in my favourite stool in my favourite bar in Cork hoping for a "golden sky" at the end of the storm.

he scares me some of decisions .. i dont have a clue what hes at .. but he does need more time .. cant sack him yit .. lets see what happens in our remaining games .. the league may well be over but if they come into a bit of form and start winning it will give us a good team for next year HAIL HAIL

er, there was the small matter of winning the champions league in his first season in charge. i'm no rocket scientist but i'm figuring this bought him a bit of goodwill from the liverpool fans. if our tone was to deliver the same trophy for us next year i'm sure we celtic fans would be prepared to stick with him for a bit longer. :86:

What else can he do? He picked a decent team, they created chances, although not at there best and the killie keeper had a MOTM performance - He's playing a team with more than half new players so its gonna take them time (not just a few games) before they start to click properly. Yeh he brought on Brown at left back but he had to make 2 defensive changes, due to injury and probably thought we were gonna score anyway (like i did) and wanted Brown to keep the inexperienced defence together so we never lost another goal.

Can't argue with you on your "clutching at straws" response but at the moment it's the only thing that keeps me going.

I don't think Hibs were great away from home under him either. Hopefully the players will have a better understanding of each other by the weekend once they've trained together.

Can roughly translate this idea into:

"Here lads, we are already struggling for confidence on the pitch and the club is in a bad way on the field. The media are clambering all over the concept of Mogga getting sacked like dogs on heat so let's go up to Parkhead and create an ignorant rabble of pish so Jim Traynor can joyously write a hun editorial about fickle celtic fans whilst tossing himself off at the headline-writing-idiocy of our fans."

Get a grip and realise that calling yourself a celtic fans requires an element of deceny. What you're suggesting are hun tactics!

TM needs time to let the team he has effectively built settle. He came in at the start of the season and inherited GS's team since then he has added a lot of players and got rid of GS's main core of players. The most radical of this occurred just two days ago.

    Would it not be fair to give the guy (and team) until the end of the season and possibly into next January to refine this building process? I mean let us be rational with this and look at time lines;

End of 2008/9 season GS leaves having lost the league

TM steps in and takes over signing a few players but still has the main core of GS's team

January 2010 and we are ten points behind and TM continues to shape the team with the transfer of GS's old boys and bringing in players he believes can change things for us.

Is it not too soon to be spitting the dummy here? I mean it is the metaphorical equivalent of hiring a plumber, asking them to use tools they have never worked with before, don't rate and aren't performing. Then after giving them what they want to use for the job, sack them after one job :31:

We need to give TM a chance to prove the money spent was/is worth it and give the guys a fair chance.

Stop being so feckin' fickle :54:

Well translated. Yes you're absolutely right.

It worries me greatly that there are so many Celtic supporters with such a Hunnish mindset? Where did they crawl from?? I'm sure it wasn't always like this.

Protest? Not that it'll work and forgodsakes it's not like the club itself is being brought to it's knees. Am not a fan of TM, can't say he was my 1st choice but get a grip with the protest nonsense

I wouldn't support a protest, if the situation got any worse i think he would resign tbh so no need for one.

    Spot on Sir !

Can't argue with that TassieBhoy. Good to hear some sensible comments and not OTT knee-* "sack the manager" reactions.
