ala Brown, Hedman, Douglass, Gould the list gos on. To say previous keepers didn't get stick is pish.

If he didn't bless himself before every game, run around with champions flags and pope tshirts he'd be getting pelters. He has been brilliant in the past and hopefully will be again. But the long and the short of it is his current form doesn't deserve a starting slot.

you are talking rot, the Celtic team is that poor, allot on here hadn't realized it, and its now a shock to your system, when you have been informed of the state the team is in, goalies now getting slated for the teams performances, herd it all now no ones fault but the keepers you must be watching parts of the game, that suits you all, and dingying the other parts. i could show you in every game the defenders markings, and how manny times i see them been turned and having to run like * to get back. having a second keeper aint the problem

Interesting to hear about Wenger having made an attempt to sign a keeper during January but failed to do so. I wonder if that was maybe Boruc (we know he's been linked in the past) and maybe his concentration has been knocked even more?

His positioning for Dunfermilnes first goal was awful.

Boruc is not exempt from criticism, it's a forum, people can give their opinions on him.

Plenty of times goalkeepers of the past have been criticised.

Boruc's career at Parkhead started of brilliantly, he has saved us on many occasions, however, his blunders are there for all to see. Boruc is the best keeper I've seen play for us but he is making way too many mistakes, even his shot stopping doesn't seem to be as good as it was.

You can't criticse the defence for errors, or the strikers for not scoring yet imply Boruc's errors don't matter because he's the best goalkeeper we've had. If his errors lead to goals against then they can and will be criticised.

why not get behind Arthur and give him some support the management seem to be giving him support, why not you, can you see something that the management cant see, if so you are wasting your talents on here. i go with the keepers trainers they know arthur well enough.

Boruc is World class....just not right now. His head isn't right, therefore you drop him - make him work harder, trainer harder and get himself back into the frame. He shouldn't be ridiculed but if he is not 100% then the club need to take steps to fix him.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I do get behind the players when they are playing, however, after the games on forums I'll criticise any player that I think hasn't been up to standard, and unfortunately Boruc is in that category just now.

Although he's the best keeper I've seen play for the bhoys he is not exempt from criticism, he looks unfit and is letting in way too many goals that in the past he would have saved.

How much goals or even games does Boruc have to cost us before we say enough is enough and he get's a spell on the bench (ie. a kick up the *).

I always get behind the players and support them if they are going through a bad patch and if the player cares enough he'll do his best to re-gain form and get back to his best. Borucs poor form has gone on too long now, he doesn't even look to be trying to shift that extra weight he's carrying and that's all part to get back to his best.

Boruc had had more support from our fans than any other player which dips in form (Scott Brown, Samaras, etc.). The Holy Goalie chants still go on, when realisticly he needs a spell on the bench and if this doesn't motivate him to try and get back to his best - he doesn't deserve to be our No.1.

Okay I take your point that the guys who pick him (not just the gaffer but the whole of the coaching staff) see him day in and day out. I used this reason myself to defend WGS for not picking Riordan.

Lets stick to what we do know.

    He is overweight.
His form has been poor since the start of last season (please don't bring up on off saves as a defence against this I mean his over all form)
His off field antics have been bringing the wrong sort of atention for a long time.

In a funny sort of way all of this may help Celtic in the long run as any top class club wouldn't touch him now. In the past we've heard rumours about the likes of AC Milan and Arsenal and they were realistic options for the big man. Even if he gets back to the form he was in at his peak it's hard to see a club of this stature coming in for him because of what's gone on with his form, weight etc.

Artur seems to be content to be at Celtic but unlike Henrik when he was here he needs to continue to work hard at his game. (Yes I know I don't see him in training but if he worked hard he wouldn't be the size he is.)

A spell out of the team will either give him the kick up the * he needs or an excuse to go on a bender. If its the latter - the gaffer needs to look elsewhere.

In my opinion he's had far TOO MUCH support from us! He nearly makes a total blunder against St.Johnstone and the Holy Goalie song is sung? That's not right.

Had the cheek to have a go at the fans at the Kilmarnock game aswell (Was there) when his abysmal kicking was rightly criticised.

    05/06 - Excellent
    06/07 - World-Class (His peak)
07/08 - Good but a few blunders here and there.
08/09 - Clearly puts on weight, blunders became more common, positional sense not half as good as it used to be.
09/10 - Positional sense even worse, any half-decent shot is a goal.

That's my analysis of Boruc over the years, and I honestly don't think he's EVER going to get back to the level he once was at.

theres no denying the fact that borucs weight is a disgrace, but look at andy goram, nigel martyn and nevil southhall, they were all fat but still good. The main problem is in his head, hes not as focused as he was 3 years ago, thats apparent.
    He needs psychological help.

:56: UEFA Cup Final has nothing to do with this mate, and the current Boruc is probably worse than Douglas.

The people defending him have been sucked into the 'Holy Goalie' thing and can't criticise the guy even though he's costing the team point after point.

That was way back in August, and how many saves has he made like that all season? About 2? Before it was about every 2 games. For every good save this season there's 5 goals he should have stopped.

Nothing to do with the defence...if anything he's the one who makes the defence look worse as any mistake by them is punished by this clueless idiot between the sticks.

Have you seen my earlier post about him making blunders in every one of the last 6 games??? Honestly, how can you defend that? :97:

He hasn't though. The save at Easter Road won us 3 points and was a wonder saves but he's had much more blunders this season, he was poor at Ibrox, Fir Park, New Douglas Park plus he's let in some poor goals at home recently.
