u should learn not too be so greedy, 2 million is over inflated, the boy is the biggest over rated player in the country. He offered nothing yet again today. What is the point of a winger that cant cross or shoot not too forget his abysmal cross field passing. He isnt good enough for the premiership, Brian Easton had him in his pocket today and he couldnt even get a game for burnley ahead of Kalvenes

 

agreed. He has a bit of pace but not a lot. Apparently (and I think it was Lenny or someone in an interview in the last year) said that Sammy is the fastest player at the club.

 

He looks very fast to me, certainly faster than McGeady.

Basically his main use to the team is his ability to dribble at some pace and drag the team up the pitch. I think that is about the height of it. He is not technically gifted in any other aspect of the game. Maloney is technically superior and more intelligent a player in every other way. If he was not injuty prone I think Maloney woud be scoring
15 goals a season and have a great assist rate.

 

typical stuff on here. we didntplay well so its mcgeady's fault. its time people looked at the rest of the team. we shouldnt have to rely on 1 person week in week out. we should be looking to other players to produce when mcgeady isn't. i cant understand the hype about maloney. he has had a really good 6months a few years ago then he left he has never came close to playing that well since . on the rare occasion he is fit, he plays well 1 match out of 5 and never ever against good opposition.
noone else in our team comes close to mcgeady's talent. i'm not saying he is the finished article because there is a lot of room for imrovement particualrry crossing and finishing but he is still our best player by a country mile.

 

nah all he is good at is dribbling at pace. He is useful to the team as that drags the line up but apart from that none of his game is good - shooting, crossing, decision making, scoring, picking the right pass, knowing when to release the ball etc etc. He is not a great player, just a great dribbler. Of course he still has value to the team for what he can do but he is no great player. I think too there is a tendancy to rate dribblers too high. As a useful but flawed player I think 10 million is far more than he is worth and if that was offered I would jump at it. He is more of a 6 million quid player IMO. If I was watching him playing for another team I could not ignore the poor final ball in his game and that would drop his value by quite a few million for me.

Ill tell ye what , why not give him away for free !ffs 4 million me balls .I bet if he was bought for 4 million by some epl club when the time comes for them to cash in it wont be 4 bleedin million . For Jasus sake what would you expect dermot desmond to do with that ?? It wouldnt even buy him his weekly shopping keep the lad he is our best player by far !! He's not played well in the last four games but his form will return..I laugh at people moaning about his final ball not being good enough when the same people are moaning about no one being in the box to get on crosses on other threads.

 

Final ball would be shooting aswell. He's not very good at that either.
