McDonald to Middlesborough

I'd be very glad to see the back of Skippy, I just don't like him - like Caldwell he thinks he is much, much better than he really is & just because he ended out at Celtic means he's a * superstar (in his head).

He actually doean't score than many goals, considering he does * all else in terms of link up play or tracking back.

Ross McCormack cost Cardiff 120k & is a better player than Skippy who we paid the same club 700k for.

Anything over 3 millions for him is a steal & I'd take it.

I bet McGinn or Forrest would score as much as him anyway, if played up front for a whole season.

 

McDonald score more than the other players we have. He scores regularly in big games. He has been great value for money.

Its opinion that folk think he is big headed and thinks hes too big for the club....hes entitled to moan if he likes.

 

Well if that's the case then surely we should only buy players who are proven goal scorers against other SPL teams?

 

I agree with you there mate. I think his valuation of himself is way above what most other people can clearly see. He was bought as a goal scorer, he's simply not doing the business. His 1st touch has been abysmal for 3 seasons. He's supposed to be a professional athlete yet he's overweight and short of pace. He will score goals in the SPL but he doesn't seem to have the desire to improve his game.

The Dane looks to be coming in anyway! But i would keep him until the Summer , then bring in Lewandowski!

We need as many goal scorers as we can get, Skippy scored recently against the Scum...i'd keep a hold of him til' the end of the season unless we bring in a top notch poacher to replace him...we need goals,goals and more goals if we've any chance of winning the league.

You surely are not talking about skippy. When have you ever seen him track back all i see him do after he looses the ball is put his head down and throw his arms in the air.

 

The only time you have strikers tracking back is when you play all 11 behind the ball.

Last time I checked, we play attacking football.

Skippy's 1st touch means that he will often lose a ball which is passed directly to him by a teamate, which means an attacking moment in the game broke down.

We can't attack for an entire 90 mins.

He either learns basic ball control methods or shows the aptitude to retrieve a ball which he himself has probably lost, due to poor technique.

The fact that he does nothing to rectify the above, is what makes fans so angry. Add to that the feeling that he blames everyone else around him.

Samaras was getting slagged all the time (& still does), but he's really, really worked hard & now shows a lot of effort & willingness to learn - which gives him some respect & respite from the fans (sometimes).

 

McDonald should stay, he can still be important for us.
We can say we don't score enough goals, but on the moment Samaras and Fortune don't score very much either.
