And still nobody scored more goals that him. Regardless of form, nobody is able to outscore him. Despite his poor from and struggling to get a game, he's our top scorer at the moment.

I suppose we should selling him and finally unleash Ben Hutchinson on the world, we've been hold him back for too long!! :56:

The BBC story seems to have disappeared. Dunno if it's something technical or they trying to do some damage control because they think they got the story wrong.

Would be disappointed if we sold our top goal scorer. He has his flaws but he can score at every level.

    Can't see this transfer happening.
If you seen the interview with the manager yesterday on the huddle online, he is looking forward to getting McDonald back in the team, plus Strachan has already strengthened..

That press conference annoyed me. They seemed to openly goad him the whole time. :38:

His reaction has nothing to do with Skippy its to do with the Scott Brown story , was just on skysports news there .

    headless chicken

According to IM Scouting, Fortune has scored 2 x goals in 149 mins of pitch time. He's averaged 1 goal every 74.50 mins. Not too hot for a striker - agreed. McDonald has scored 10 goals in 1302 mins of pitch time averaging a goal every 118.4 mins. Even less impressive. Samaras isn't much worse than McDonald scoring 8 goals in 1168 mins of league football averaging 1 goal every 129.8 mins. Sammy is often employed in a deeper role or on the wing. McDonald is an out and out striker. His skill set limits him to that solitary role.

Those stats dont justify selling him let alone for a paltry £3M

Well it depends on other business really. If we are to believe the reports that Celtic have agreed a fee of around 1.5 million for Morten Rasmussen, a player who in his last season scored 12 league goals in 1193 mins of football averaging a goal every 91.77 mins, then statistics would dictate that he takes more of his chances than mcDonald. If we sell McDonald at £3million it's good business no? Obviously, these are only statistics but for me McDonald is just not doing what he's payed to do. The last player we had who was bought to solely put the ball in the back of the net was John Hartson, Skippy couldn't lace the big mans boots. McDonald lacks real intelligence and anticipation, he's slightly over-weight, short of pace and goes to ground everytime somebody goes near him. If we sign this Danish lad, then 3 million for McDonald may be good business.

surely it depends on the opposition hes scoring against...and not only mins on the pitch..
