Boateng for Celtic

I think George Boatang would be a good signing for us. At 30 he should still have another 2-3 years at the top level and he would be coming on a free transfer so personally I think it would be good business for us. Roy Keane if he plays next season is unlikely to be fit for every game and you can't see Keane playing beyond next summer anyway. Neil Lennon has had a good season and shown himself to be very durable so I hope he stays for one more year as well. Just maybe he takes more of the Paul Lambert role and plays less as Lambo did towards the end of his career at Celtic Park.

 

Thats for sure u dont know your footie cos boateng never played when Middlesborough got beat 7-0 by Arsenal!! Thats probably why they got thrashed!! Anyway Simon Davies is a winger so u cana compare!! Boateng wud make a gr8 signin nd the fact hes still involved for Holland at international level right now shows we'd b signin him in the form of his life!!

my comparison to simon davies wasnt about their role in their respective teams, its their precieved reputations. davies was overrated when he moved to spurs and it will happen with boateng wherever he ends up.

He playing well but that doesnt mean he'll be playing well next season, he's the wrong side of 30 and his fitness and form will degrade from here on in. I rather see Simon Ferry get the leg up. We have invested well in our youth system, its time to start giving them the chance instead of getting cold feet and signing a mediorce premiership player

 

boateng is a fuckn class act, if we signed him what a coup that would be. Imagine it, Keane and Boateng in the middle. No offence to lennon but keane and boateng are better so he wouldnt get a game.

the only people who rate lennon are the naive celtic bhoys. Anyone who is a neutral just looks at him and thinks ' shitteeee'. He doesnt even look like a footballer and he is certainly no athlete.

 

lennon is still good enough but i dont think he should be our captain, in my eyes he is no leader or representitive to the club

 

I see nothing wrong with his captaincy of Celtic. Wouldn't have been my choice but I dont see much wrong with it

 

we should be looking for younger replacements not guys on the wrong side of 30 maybe someone about 26/27

 

Steven Reid is maturing into a good player

 

kevin thomson of hibs would be ideal. Or maybe a good player from one of the english teams that gets relegated from the premiership.

 

Think Thomson of Hibs would be a good signing for the Hoops the now. He's been doing well this season.

aye he did but if we went in with proper bid and stop making a mockery of teams like hibs then im sure we can force their hand and sell him to us.
