OK, but i'm laughing at you now. :bbpd:

If the "glory hunters" want what's best for the team then they would be getting behind the team and the manager. Did everyone expect Mowbray to come in and we would just hit the ground running? People are more deluded than I thought. We're bringing in new players and getting rid of the old, of course it's going to take a while for things to work out. But throwing in the towel half way through the season, when the last 2 seasons there has been more of a gap and the 2nd placed team has managed to turn it around, is a bit of a joke.

I may be an optimist but it's far from over. Win our game in hand and it's 6 points with plenty of football still to be played.

surely if we are glory hunters we would have buggered off by now and started following barca or man utd or chelsea...

if we argue that our team is * and needs something done now then it obviously doesnt make us glory hunters. it makes us want change for our team to get better and under TM i dont think that will happen tbh. hopefully im proved wrong and if i am ill eat my words but at the minute i just cant see it.

This is why we have forums like this to debate and everyone has an opinion mate.

He needs time for goodness sake. Sacking managers after just a few months is crazy.

West Brom board came into the EPL with the mentality that they would be relegated. Nothing was done to ensure they survived the drop. The board took the cash and ran and now they are also entitled to parachute payments in the Championship.

Ask the fans what they thought of him and he's management despite knowing that the board were unwilling to spend to survive the drop. Stop with the ignorant comments please.

mark hughes would attract premiership players to the club, just like Martin o neil did, with suton, lennon, hartson. Hughes is the calibre of manager a club like celtic should be after.

In saying that though, changing mangers at this stage of the season would be counterproductive. I reckon see what happens at the end of the season and the board should weigh up the options then.

And where does the money come from ,it took a few years to get MON debt down,do you want to go back down that road again with Celtic when things are a lot worse than it was 6-7 years ago .

The nature of threads such as this make me feel phsically detached from the club I love, I truly cannot understand how you can profess to be a follower of ths institution, understand its values and history and the rattle ludicrous * such as this over the internet. I find the criticism of him abhorrent and antithetical to very central aspects of Celtic, such as loyalty, decency and perseverance due to faith in an eventual 'golden sky', as it were. Celtic are not, and should never seek to become, a sacking club in which managers are given no time. In conducting yourselves in this fashion you are no better that any other shallow, clueless club that demands success in 8 weeks and if it doesn't arrive then sack the manager. Daft and enfuriating in equal measure.

I ask you all to cast your mind back to last season, a time when I have never felt more disilusioned with Celtic. I could not associate with the man in the dug out; I LOATHED the style of football; I hated our public persona put forward by the ginger one and I felt more distant than ever. The football was * and ran against club traditions, it wasn't even successful and the eventual collapse was as inveitable as it was pathetic. Under Mogga I feel very different. I am CONVINCED he is moving the club in the right direction and I think if you can watch football with an educated eye I find it very hard to understand how you can't see that. The football is better, the new players not only good value (Fortune and arguable exception) but of a technical quality that is highly superior. But it takes time to mould. That time must be given.

7 months is not enough time to rebuild a football side that was badly imbalanced and stale when WGS left. On the pitch the improvements are clear and I don't reckon he is given enough credit for his work in the transfer market on this forum, especialy after Strachan's record (Naka and Boruc apart). N'Guemo looks a snip; Fox was relatively cheap and as the last few games have shown, a massive improvement on Naylor; Fortune is a tidy footballer, albeit one that needs a very particular type of entre forward alongside him, but he is a good player; Ki looks a good signing by all accounts; ZZ was a great piece of business, composed and very versatile, etc. Moreover, in Crossas, Sammy and McGeady, he has brough much more than the previous regime ever did. And for those of you blinded by Strachan's three league titles (a figure as impressive as it is disillusioning), please, please, please try and remeber what it was like trying to watch his side. If you can't, try some self-harm: the two experiences are not disimilar. And if you can't remember, watch him languish at the bottom of the Championship, unable to buy a win for love nor money (a league, in case you have forgotten, Mogga guided West Brom out of: no mean feat.)

It will come under Mogga, last thing to come for a new side is clinical edge, but it will arrive, of that I am sure. When the clinical edge arrives, a side whose creativity, movement, passing and aesthetic enjoyment far supercedes the previous viewing will be successful, and you will chew on words that undermine the values of the club you purport to support. You should be ashamed. Hail Hail.

1 decent premiership player would cost app.£8mil + wages app.£60,000
    p/w = 4 yr contract = £12 mil = £20mil. one player!!!
yea with 3 signings like this(providing whoever it is prefers us to man u,
arsenal etc.)we might win the league but will be in administration in about 1 year or less:rolleyes:

I wish these boards had existed when Larsson was signed so we could have gotten the reaction. He was a nobody and became great here. MON was smart and found a young talented player he could build a team around. Mowbray is trying something similar. Cool your jets.
