    Diddy Caldwell

Give it a rest, he is a diddy and we are well shot of him.

Good business by Celtic, signed him for nowt and got 1m back with not so many months remaining on his contract.

Look to the future,we will sign better players than the diddy.

The diddy is trying to stir it up already with his negitive comments, he is trying to cause it between TM and the board. Get on with your life diddy, hopefully you wont embarass yourself on Sky TV with your schoolboy errors.

He will make a few bob but no medals or trophys.

    Lets move on,

    Bye Bye diddy!!!!!

Regardless of the in's and out's, talking about a player who has genuinely given his all no matter what the malcontents in our support have thrown at him over the years, shows you up as far more of a 'diddy' than anything.

As I said, you made two points in #45,

    1. That people were jealous of Caldwell
    2. That Celtic are handling their finances badly
    ...to which I replied

You've moved on from those two points to talk about

    3. What Caldwell thinks/feels/is bothered about
    4. Our league position currently, our exit from Europe, last year's league finish, and how debt control is only one side of the game

The thread's supposedly about Caldwell being sold against Mowbray's wishes, and you'e hijacked it into a wee rant on Celtic's penny pinching, Caldwell's rights, being dominated by a poor huns team, etc. Time to face it, you're all over the shop on this thread. And you think I'm detached from reality

Some of us don't need the full tour, and are just as aware as you of what Celtic are doing on and off the park

Anyroad, Mowbray's commented on what this thread is supposed to be about. Try post #44, if you're actually interested

Your the one that started talking about Man United, Liverpool, Portsmouth & West Hams debt. You also went on about over inflated markets and how the EPL is going to crash sometime. All nothing to do with Caldwell's transfer. Not his fault that clubs in other leagues can offer more than SPL clubs. Dont give me that * about dragging threads off topic as you are off on tangents and I'm replying to your points.

People are going on that Caldwell isnt worth £20k p/w yet that what he's got for the next 4.5 years. Obviously fans arent clued up on player value if they still think that Caldwell isnt worth 20k p/w when he's just signed a contract giving him that.

The guy hasn't had a bad word to say about Celtic since he left and has already said him and Peter Lawell spoke before he left.

I was never his biggest fan, but like you say, I think the least we can do is afford the guy the same grace he's given us.

People need to read beyond the pish headlines that have no substance and look at what the guy actually said.

Well, you're the one who started talking about clubs "outside of Scotland", bureaucracy, et al (post #45). I think, if you read what follows from there, it's me who's trying to reply to your posts.

On this thread, at least, you're not giving much of a sign of following the chronology of posts, or of actually reading what others say. Even this last post from you is still off topic, and is about how others, unlike yourself, aren't clued up on value.

Maybe, I'll catch you on another thread and we'll have something like a discussion. :bbpd:

I agree. Word is he got offered 12k by us and his is getting 25k from Wigan. Few players who had been on small money until now at his age heading into their biggest contract will be able to resist an offer that is double that which we are offering. The fact he would accept 18k to stay with is shows he wasnt all about money.

considering the source of this quote, how could anybody take this thought seriously? iss gary "gargantuan cranium" caldwell talking. don't bother listening. it confirms that we did the right thing in selling him. as good as he was (which is only relative to who we currently have), he was a cancer in the dressing room, for sure. bye bye heid
