As I said, Gunt, this is not an anti-Strachan thread. Reading back, that was perhaps a poor way to opening way.

I realise he did a * of a lot with very limited resources, but I just didn't see any longevity in his reign or his "legacy" if you like. It seemd just to be season-by-season one step ahead of a very poor Rangers side.

I just couldn't see what he was building. I tried, and at times thought I did then his next signing/decision would baffle me again. But as you say alot were stop gap signings.

Now 7 months in TM has obviously not fulfilled his plan yet, and perhaps might not do so, so essentially has done nothing to deserve this praise as of yet. But I found his approach refreshing in that not just trying to say one step ahead of the huns for now, but building a team that will dominate for the next ten years with a focus on producing our own players capable of performing at the top level.

Its a vibe with the club in general including the points I mentioned in the OP.

A 5 year plan hopfully he will be gone at the end of the seaon. Mowbrey is loser. Hibs won squat, got westbrom promoted from a diddy league and when he game up against the big guns got them sent straight back down. Enough of football philsophy lessons it time he got us some results.

I ll give him to the end of the the season however.

I think the Championship is one of the hardest leagues to win and he came within a few points of keeping WBA in the EPL despite spending only a fraction of what his competitors did.

He came 3rd with Hibs which is probably the best anyone could have done.

I didn't particularly want Strachan to start with but said I'd give him two seasons, so I'd give TM two seasons as well.

The past few weeks have seen progress in the performances but we now need to see the same in the results.

I'm glad his plan is long term to build for the future, but that has to be balanced with winning in the here and now.

If he didn't win the league this season I'd give him next as well however many fans wouldn't and may just push him out the door - I don't want us to go back to changing our manager every season, we as fans need to have a bit of paitence but the team also has to deliver.

Mowbray did better than expected with both WBA and Hibs. I'm backing him to do the same here.

Even if we lose the league this season I'd give him another one to make up for it.

I don't get all this stuff about burying the Huns. Sure their supporters are idiots (Some of them) but without them we'd have a much weaker league and a weaker league means a weaker standard of play.

I care about Celtic, not anything that Rangers do.

i like the idea of working with the youngsters and teaching them how to control a ball most nowadays struggle with the basics what we learned to do on the streets years ago im looking forward to see what Tm does in this transfer window if he does well roll on the summer for that one but i would give him 2 seasons to see how his own team does instead off having most off gords team

His presentation to the board would be. By year five we will not need to spend any money on the transfer market as we are producing great young players who are ready to star in the first team. This will make the board cream themselves lol
