Same Old Board

I was reading the star(i think) yesterday and Charlie Nicolas has a collum init and he says Mogga gave the board a list of players he would like. None of the players who have been brought in for a trail have been Mogga wanting them and that Lawell has been talkin to agents and organising trails without consulting Mogga. I think Mogga will be a great Celtic manager in the future if the board stop penny picking and do what they are told. Also Nicolas was sayin the south korean bhoy wasnt even Moggas decision.

Because Charlie Nicholas is often partial to inside information and regularly adopts a fair and thought-out view of the board in that bastion of sports journalism, The Star.

You were a hero in your day Charlie, but please, stick to covering games on SSN.

I agree, he was one * of a player but he is nothing more than an embarrasment as a pundit/columnist.
It seems to be fashionable to get ripped into the Celtic board, when blind eyes are turned to the other clubs in Scotland.

 

I like Charlie Nicholas, he gets a lot of stick but you can see he has a passion for Celtic and just seems like a fan.

However is he not in the middle of an argument with Peter Lawell? I'm sure i remember reading about it.

 

Charlie's comments and thoughts are reason why I refuse to buy or read any newspaper. From the front pages to the back, the red tops are generally full of *.

His comments are not from a Celtic man either, he'll pay lip service to the highest bidder, usually the Sky Sports studio and his beloved Arsenal.

 

I hope the board do splash the cash as we have shown by voting with our feet at Celtic park , Another poor transfer window could end up with Celtic park struggling to pull in 25 - 30,000 people just because people are sick of the * on the park .

I doubt many people outside of an elite few know what the transfer criteria at Celtic is, we play our cards very close to our chest - which drives the media crazy, so they make up * due to not having any good leads.

Unfortunately Charlie is no different to Hugh Keevins et al.

 

The fact that the Star's internet strapline is 'simply the best' tells me everything.

 

its the 9th of january there is still loads of time for transfers, no one but the board n mogga really knows whats going on. Bit of patience and i am sure we will see the activity we want in the transfer market.

 

charlie is probably the thickest pundit on tv - that's going some when you look at his peers: merson, walsh, kamara. He's a moron but for all that he's a proper celtic fan, unlike lawwell who is no more than dermot desmond's bag carrier and there's probably a few grains of the truth in what he says.

 

First off, the board run the club.. they're higher up than mowbray and they don't get told to do by someone in a lower position than them...
it's lawwells job to talk to the agents. I don't think it's a case of mogga going in with A B and C written down and we'll sign X Y and Z..


prob just get x and y and z will be a hard luck story...
