First article that came up, but there are a million of them. Type Legs increase upper body or the like into google for more... legs being essential for upper body growth is a consensus opinion in the industry...

So guys, i'm looking for advice on my diet and stuff right, but the thing is, i am looking to make some changes that give some flexibility. I am only wanting to change to diet plan for my training days and give myself a rest on the weekends. I plan on eating the same breakfast on every weekday with the smaller meals accross the day with dinner changing all the time. (probs guna take full flow when a get some good cash)

Am looking for some help, al probably eat Porridge and Milk for breakfast every weekday but what sorts of protein will i need to buy, what should i mix it with and whens the best time to take it?? Being in uni and that, i wont be able to get meals the same way everyday but whats the best mid morning/lunchtime/pre-workout snacks?? as i said, my dinner will vary depending what others in the house have.

but i've heard talk of carbs protein, recovery protein, energy protein, whats the best one and when to take it?? I don't really need to lose weight, maybe burn a bit fat but Muscle is the priority.

Am not that bothered about this 6 small meals thing, just want to make sure i'm getting the most of myself. I know maybe the 6 meals would do just that, but like i said, i wont have the opportunity to work around my uni and that to eat this way. Basically just wana recover as best i can and energise before workouts as much as i can.

take a look on here on goals and it will point you in the right direction. put oats in a protien shake in the morning and its a good meal replacement for breaky.

Could you just put them in directly from those sachet things you get in boxes of Porridge??

and how would you mix them just blend or stir or just shake about ?

thats what i want to have for breakfast. Sounds good. Just wondering about what the best protein would be

you can buy the oats on the site provided that are suitible to go straight in with your protien, they just require a good shke in a mixer bottle. some of my pals put protien, oats, banana and milk in a blender and have that for breaky as its great for slow energy release.

this is the most popular protien on the site, i buy the choc mint flavour which is tasty.

Ah cheers. That could appeal to me as i am not a morning person, maybe drinking my breakfast, in effect would be better.

Are some oats not suitable? sorry if this sounds daft but how can't you just wack any oats in? lol

yeah, am talking about the oats in quaker oats Porridge sachets, i would imagine them , a Banana, Milk and Protein would be a fantastic breakky. Cheers.

Just wondering what Protein to buy, energy release, or recovery suppose energy comes from oats and bananas so maybe a combo of them and recovery protein- even in the morning, would be good. maybe have two shakes a day, one on the brekky, and one after workout.

Would you think protein is still to be taken even on none-training days?

i have 3 shakes a day even on none training days, you got to remember that while your muscles are repairing is a vital time to have the protien in your system.

i eat these during the day at work, i split a bowl into two meals and take fruit ASDA 4 Freshly Frozen Golden Vegetable Rice : Read reviews and compare prices at Ciao.co.uk they only cost £1.37 and usually see me through to thursday if i add some kidney beans. they seem to give me loads of energy which is good.

I've started using the protein bars you get in asda too, they give you 20g of protein per bar and the choc chip is nice, they where on offer at £1 a bar but last time they where back up to £1.50.
Good to take one if your pushed for time and can't get a shake or a meal, I find them handy as I work shift's. Also a handfull of nuts is a good source of protein.

It's 16 in all the gym's around my area, I'm not sure if it varies.

If you can't get into the gyms the best thing to do until you can is just work on your cardio. (running, swimming, cycling, etc). That way when you can finally go into the gym you will be able to mainly concentrate on building muscle.

I might well purchase some of these. Not sure i can be arsed with shakes and the expense of them.

Starting to go back to gym on Wednesday after quite a long period of junk food and too much work. Haven't put on much weight strangely but my fitness has definitely deteriorated, noticed after playing 5's tonight.
