He's signed alright but we were still waiting for his international clearance (that's why he wasn't in the OF squad), don't know if that's arrived yet as not heard anything about it, I asume it now has arrived.

Hopefully he's as good as the reports about him have been. I just hope people don't start on him if he doesn't set the world on fire in his first few games. If could be really dent his confidence before he gets the chance to settle, a bit like the Fortunè situation.

He's not short of confidence, I hope that's a good thing & not another deluded * like Caldwell.

A fine line between confindence in your own ability & being totally in your own wee world - I hope the Gerrard thing doesn't come to haunt him.

Didn't Du Wei have one 45 minute outing against Clyde and was then punted? He was meant to be cruising the reserve games from what I'd heard, plus the fact he's gone on to be the Chinese captain (just found that out) might show that we missed a trick there..

Fair enough if he keeps the brand alive in Asia now that Naka is gone but I am going to be a bit pessimistic here.

I don't think he looks particularly special in his youtube clips. He has all the time in the world to play these passes which aren't particularly mind blowing. For all its faults the SPL is a fecking fast league and he'll be closed down in a fraction of the time hes allowed down there.

I feel he will struggle to adapt.

Don't get me wrong I hope he is a success but we had this same * fest over Mizuno videos.

I agree. In all those clips he's got far more time & space than he'll ever get in SPL, but he's looks like he's sturdy enough to compete physically & young enough to adapt his game (unlike Naka imo). So here's hoping he becomes a good player for us.:50:

First time he falls on his *, we can rest assured the media will make sure he knows it

He's a Lawwell signing, and obviously here significantly for the same reasons as Naka was. He's supposed to be a player, tho' we know next to nothing about how he will fare here. Love to see him put the frighteners on everyone we come up against. We'll see soon enough

It looks increasingly like Ki is going to be asked to make an immediate impact for us. With N'Guemo in Africa, Robson being sold and Scott Brown still injured, our options in central midfield have suddenly become very limited. We have Ki and Marc Crosas and not much else. Hopefully Ki will be able to come in and do us a turn straight away. It's a big ask but it looks as though that is how it's going to have to be.

It does look that way, I just hope the judgement of everybody has been correct and he can come in and do a job for us instantly. I personally dont think he will take long to settle.

One thing he may not be used to is the physicality of the SPL, he mentioned in his interview that he was used to fast, technical players with not alot of strength. If he takes a little while to settle, this could cost us valuable points.

Hope he settles fast and confident he will.

The lad must be giving the patience of the fans as some have been too quick to judge players. At first i seen him as another signing to sell shirts and market the club as a "brand" again in Asia. Hopefully we get another success story with Ki, heres hoping he can deliver.

I believe he will deliver and in the games against Falkirk & Morton he has the chance to show us what he can do
