Today proved yet again that our defence has a soft centre and our attack is ineffient. As minimun to win the league we need a centre half and centre forward. The centre half must be reasonably quick strong in the air and tackle. Please dont say Darren O,Dea cos he is not the answer. The centre forward must be quick, capable of controling a ball and linking play and most importantly have an eye for goal.I think it obvious to most that mcdonald is not TM's first choice in big games, probably due to his inability to trap a bag of cement and lack of pace, and all our centre halfs are * poor. 2 players is the minimum we need to win the league IMO and if we get get them we will be champs at the end of the season.opinions folkshail hail

Agree. If we get them i'll be happy and confident going into the rest of the season.

i would say sammy n fortune are 1 in 5 strikers were as mcdonald is 1 in 3 we need another striker with a ratio of skippys or better .

i agree with that but they must also be pacy and able to control the ball. if we can get that bit of pace it would give us a threat that we don't have with our current strikers

Roland Juhasz can be our CB solution, he will not let anyone pass. Can be played even as a crisis CF. I'd get him, and another big player, a CF. He can be slow, but he has to be strong and very good at headers.

i like fortune, sammy and mcdonald..but they need to improve their finishing.

a center half or even 2..is vital..not too worried bout the forward/

i think our forwards have been incredibly wasteful all season. i cant think of 1 match this season that they have been clinical in front and that will cost us over the course of the season, in fact it already has.

i disagree about the striker. we already have some big guys. granted they are'nt best at heading but the do still pose that threat to defences. as i have said we don't have anyone with great pace up front, someone who can get in behind defences, we need that option imo

Today? This is not all on today, this is over weeks. Today he had * all to do and he still could not keep a clean sheet. That was an easy save that any top goal keeper should have been able to make. Where Boruc USED to win us games he NOW loses us games in my opinion. If Boruc did have such a good repore with the fans and the club he would Celtic number two at the moment. Zaluska as far better prospect.

got to disagree about today i didnt think he could have prevented the goals , it was down to poor deending by caldwell imo. i would agree that he has made mistakes over the last few weeks but i think that down to a lack of match sharpness after his injury. i would also disagree about zaluska, i think he is an good back up but not anywhere near the level boruc is

Agreed, at that stage of the game, with that scoreline, you should be fully switched on, all men back, and doing anything and everything to prevent a goal.

Is that tatics then? Mowbry has to take a lot of the blame for Celtics failures this season. It is the same players as last season and the only diffrences are couple of the ones that he brought in. What is happening at Celtic park.

Try to get somthing postive in hear .... We did dominate today and if we took our changes we would have pumped them. But too often this has happened this season.

i feel this is the performance that will push us on i thought we were outstanding today we made them look ordinary.a neutral would have thought we were the team off the back of 4-1,6-1 and 7-1 results:icon_mrgreen:
