    Wouldn't pay 2.5M. Might be worth a loan move until the summer then a small fee (< 1M) as I wouldn't imagine his wages would be too cheap and he's moving ever closer to the end of his career. Paying 2.5M could therefore be a huge mistake.

    He'd still destroy the spl, quality striker and we know what we're getting as opposed to another £2m gamble on Giroud. £2.5m would be well spent imo

    We need a good experienced forward in. I duno about the fee but I'd really like this guy at Celtic Park. Ive always thought he was a good talent but theres been questions about his attitude.

    He's finished really. Not considered good enough to start for a struggling Blackburn team. We have McDonald for now, we don't need McCarthy.

    McCarthy is a step up from McDonald imo

    the age is always a concern though! but giving a run of games he would score goals for fun in the SPL
