The Orcs Need A Taste Of Their Own Medicine

I just pray that Mowbray - if he's going to inexplicably start with Loovens - takes him to one side at the start of the match and empties a bucket of ice cold water over the Dutch guy whilst shouting, "Wake up ffs, you're at an OF game, remember?!" Loovens is a big guy - at the very least if he can't play football he should be taking lumps out of the likes of Lafferty, Davis and Boyd. Loovens reminds me of the big kid in school who always got bullied by some much smaller, cockier wee runt. You know the type, he has all the physical attributes to knock the bully flying but is just too *-scared to do it. * joke of a player.

Seriously, though, we must not let Rangers score early...that's been their strategy for a long time now. Boyd without Miller will soon run out of puff and confidence if he's denied in the first half.

Finally, can we see some viciousness from our guys? I don't mean dangerous tackles, of course, but can we at least let the likes of Boyd, Weir, Lafferty and McCullough know that if they're going to dish it out they'll get it back and then some? We need some dig, we need to go in hard. I'm sick of watching Weir drop our guys and getting away with it. It's about time that 40yr old creep was reminded that an OF derby is 'No Country For Old Men'! McCullough, well, he's long overdue payback.

Come on, Celtic, get frigging well stuck into these orcs - and hard!

I really hope that Mowbray is brave and plays both McGinn and McGeady on the flanks for Sunday. I would be inclined to go with Samaras and Fortune up front as I think their size and mobility will cause the huns back line more problems then McDonald would.

N'Guemo and Crosas have been excellent for the most part and can sit in deep in midfield to allow McGinn and McGeady more freedom to really go at the huns.

Hinkel and Fox at the back and Boruc in goal leaves the center back situation as the real dilema. O'Dea is back but lets be honest he isn't any better then the 3 we have had all season so far. Personally I would go with Caldwell and Loovens and hope they actually have a good day. If they can and we can get on top early then we have the weapons to get it done at the attacking end.

No question though this one is crucial. Mowbray is going to have to stand up and be counted and show his worth. Our backs are very much up against the wall and we need a rousing performance from Celtic come Sunday.

work with a couple of season ticket holders at ibrox, last night they both said that they expect to get beat on sunday. apparently they were awful on wednesday despite the result. they told me that they spme how managed to score three goals in the first half then for the first 20 mins of the second dundee utd absolutely horsed them until they scored again ad utd collapsed. they were talking very negatively despite the results so definetly feeling much more confident now

    McDonald Doesn't Deserve To Start

    Totally agree, Eire4.

McDonald is threatening noone at the moment. He's fluffing chance after chance. At least with Samaras and Fortune we've got two big men who have a bit of presence.

One other thing, Fortune can blast them from a distance with power (as can McGinn). When was the last time Skippy scored a goal like that? FFS even if the ball is placed at Skippy's feet he flails at it. I can fart with more force than Skippy can shoot at the moment.

Skippy's confidence is shot. An OF game is not the place to helping a player regain that confidence - certainy not a match like this with all that depends on it. Fortune has been improving steadily and I think Weir will wilt in front of him. With Sammy and Fortune in the box we have the ariel option as well especially if McGinn and McGeady are pinging in crosses. McDonald is utterly useless in the air.

No, Skippy's had too many chances of late. An OF game is too important a match to worry about McDonald's ego. Fortune and Sammy up first please, Tony.

What I would give for a Neil Lennon circa 2002 on the park for us on sunday. The huns fans are obscenely confident about this game, the swaggerin boastful *. If our players allow themselves to be bullied we're *. If not, we will bring the * back down to earth with a bump.

Thank * it's at our place on sunday, I would fear for us if it was at mordor.

    Celtic win 2-1.

Been bricking it for a fortnight about this game but I'm feeling confident now for some reason. I think the mental aspect of knowing losing the game means we're ten behind should hopefully place the right amount of positive pressure on our players, especially at Paradise.

I really wonder if we might see O'Dea at LB.

Fox ain't exactly brilliant in defence & has given away quite a few penalties etc... Naylor as an option is probably not on the cards.

Remember O'Dea played a good game at LB in the last OF Cup final & scored from a set piece.

He's also go though Lafferty like a dose of salts.

I reckon he's a serious option for Mowbray to consider, especiallt as Fox ain't exactly setting the heather on fire.
