    He looks like the skillful, pacy striker we're crying out for. Obviously, the old youtube video compilation can never be fully trusted but he looks decent. Interesting to see if anything comes of this one. Can't find the article, does it mention the fee involved?

    I always thought Dica would've been a good signing and I think this guy is ahead of him in the pecking order for romania so by that... I think he'd be good lol
    that said, Kenny miller is a starter for Scotland...

    Naw wait, wrong guy.
    scrap it. he's only got 8 caps to Dica's 30...who is having a torrid time in italy. GET HIM SIGNED!

    His games to goals ratio is excellent but I'm not sure why he's had so few games in three years.

    hei! i`m from romania, from craiova. i love universitatea and i like celtic. costea is a wonderfull player, skillful, tehnique, excelent dribbler. he is not quite a striker, he is more a left wing. probably you`ve heard abaot unirea urziceni and dinamo bucharest. look on youtube at craiova-dinamo. costea had a great game scoring once with an overhead kick. someone asked taht he has only 3 caps for Romania. well, he is playing on the same position as mutu and the manager, razvan lucescu, dislikes craiova because when he was a player his team was relegated by craiova twice, craiova had won the decisive game. as for the transfer fee, craiova will let him go at least for 4 milion euro. let`s hope he will arive at celtic, not on fulham, wolsburg, koln,porsmouth. and score at least 10 goals against rangers.
    all in all- it will be a great business

    He looks like a player that could be really frustrating to watch because he capable of so much. Is he consistent? 40 in 80 would suggest he is but his youtube footage would suggest other wise.

    Interesting to hear that this guy is more of a left wiger than a striker, does it mean our star assest (Mc Geady) has aready been sold to an EPL club ?

    Costea can play as left winger, support striker and striker. Let´s say he´s a Thierry Henry kind of player. In my opinion, support striker is the position that suits him better. Maybe going abroad will convince the NT coach that he´s a valid player. I´m not a Craiova fan, but Costea has the best potential among all the Romanian forwards.

    -Negative points: Sometimes he lacks bravery to use properly his skills, so he become predictable. He dissapears in some games. He is accused by the NT coach for not doing a defensive job, but that´s his personal opinion.

    -Positive points: Good dribbling. Strong shot. Pace. Very good opportunism to score goals (in those games where he dissapears he can end scoring a vital goal).

    Well if he's that talented he's welcomed at Celtic Park, however I worry that he goes missing in some games, we need fully commited players.
