To Get Into Pot 2 For CL

The top 16 of these teams go into pot 1 and 2 in the CL next year. Now there are a few teams avbove us i.e. Ajax, Schalke, Parma, Newcastle etc that definetly arent in a position to finish in a CL position in their league. So counting the teams that will definetely qualify, there are 14 places taken by teams with a higher seeding.

That leaves it really between us, Roma and Panathanikos to see who fills the last two spots in the 16. Lets hope Panathanikos dont finish second and Roma finish 4th

Also, its embarrassing that we only got 1.4025 points for this season's European campaign

how is this table calculated? liverpool man utd and arsenal all above chelsea?

 

It goes by past 5 seasons performance in Europe and domestic, but you can't rate on the table until you've played in Europe. Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd have run all over Chelski in Europe so they're higher, as European performance is worth more.

 

We are 20 places ahead of Rangers.

Well, don't think Newcastle will get into the Champions League so no need to worry about them.
Roma are currently sitting 5th behind Fiorentine with only a point in it. Could be nervy if we were having to rely on them to get into Pot 2, personally think Roma will get 4th.
Panathonaikos however are sitting 3rd. 2 points behind AEK Athens and 8 points behind Olympiakos who have a game in hand as well. If we need them not to win the league, I think using them to get into Pot 2 would be more realistic than Roma. Mon The Olympiakos!

 

I think Arsenal will get fourth their 2 points behind spurs with a game in hand so i think they'll only be one spot im afraid

Roma drew 1-1 with Fiorentina yesterday

 

i figured it had to be weighted and with a time span on it too...
we need to have a good showing in europe before the UEFA cup run isnt counted anymore

 

We need two good seasons in the CL, if we dont, in two years, the Seville run drops out and this season bites us bad.
