I would not be confident of winning the league if we went 7 behind.

I know, but that's the way it is. You'll always find moaning threads, justified or not.

Our recent form is pretty good:

    St. Mirren 3:1
    Hapoel 2:0
    Aberdeen 3:0
    Motherwell 3:2
    Rapid 3:3
    Hearts 1:2

4 wins in last 6 games is not a bad form, especially when you look at manner of our wins. One defeat doesn't mean we'll struggle from now on.

Agreed, a lot depends from Old Firm game, but I'd rather focus on Accies first. Win there and confident approach to Huns match would be incredibly important.

However, sacking manager in the middle of season is plain ridiculous.

I wouldn't be too harsh on Samaras - i'm just thankful that he has his confidence back. He's a nightmare to deal with if you're an opposing centre back.

We dominated the match on Sunday, with 10 men. However domination with nothing to show for it means absolutely nothing - if we'd taken our chances we would have been on easy street. Glen Loovens is a serious concern though.

    Eh up stranger :50:

Watched the game today [well parts] and Celtic where the better team by far and should have been out of sight of Hearts after 25 mins but again a stupid mistake cost us a goal and one less player ,it is a big issue that will have to be knocked on the head .

well samy is a striker! and mostly all strikers can be selfish from time to time. and to say he cost us 3 points is a bit ott tbh. we had umpteen chances to bury them and didnt and the defence let us down..so i think the critisiscim(lol spelling lol) of the greek is a bit unfair tbh.

Only sing when you're winning ? That is not the case, I sing when we win, lose or draw. So because he is 'here', that means we should keep him on no matter what ?

This is not his team, it is Strachan's. And he is on a rolling contract. Compensation will be the same right now as it would be next August.

Nah I posted it for the banter, of course I am being serious. Losing to the huns and going 7 points behind that mob would make me think twice about whether he is the right man for the job.

He should be given until February at least because then we can see who is being brought in, it would be ludicrous to sack him right now as recen form has been good. However as I say, if we lose to the huns then I would think twice about whether he is the man.

The guy's 4 months into his tenure and you're talking about giving him until February. * sake.

"Keep him on no matter what". Who's talking about that? You're making * up to defend yer so-called singing

Let's talk about giving the guy time to get rid of Strachan's team (your words) and put his team on the park. After all, "it would be ludicrous to sack him right now as recen form has been good."

Second thoughts. No, let's not do that - let's wait till February, * building a new team, * recent form. If he's not giving us what we demand we'll just get rid of him, and bring in.....

Sing win lose, or draw. Who're you trying to kid?

I am not trying to kid any * but I will not be an apologist for mediocre performances just because Mogga is new. I have agreed that he should be given more time so what the * is your problem ? It is not like I want him gone right now, I am not one to entertain knee-* reactions.

If you think I only sing when we are winning then you are a deluded arrogant guy. I will always be a Tim and I would not have it any other way :celt_2: However I am not a happy clapper unlike yourself.

Bit touchy, there. Try reading the posts and stick to what's being said.

What recent mediocre performances, given "recent form has been good" do you have in mind?

You're all over the place, mate. Don't have a problem. Take a look in the mirror

You don't entertain knee-* reactions and don't want him gone right now. You'll wait till February. Ok, so ye're keeping yer powder dry, and got yer fuse lit just in case. :56:

As stated, * building a new team, * recent form, and * off to the time required in maintaining all that, eh?

Point out the inconsistencies in yer views and I'm classified as a deluded, arrogant happy clapper. Did I forget apologist?

    Unconvincing.

First of all, why don't you * off with your patronizing patter ?

There have been a few mediocre performances this season however I believe we have actually improved this season under Mogga. The football we are playing is much better and the only worry I have is the defence.

"As stated, * building a new team, * recent form, and * off to the time required in maintaining all that, eh? " - If it is at the detriment of our league position then yes as it would be unforgivable to lose the league yet again. I am sure Mogga will get it right but if he does not then I would have no qualms with his sacking/resignation.

If ye can't hold yer hand up and own it when ye've been talking *, and have to water it down gradually, then fair enough. Ye're still all over the place, though. 'We want to keep him, but then again we don't...On the other hand, if.....then we might' Ye're not sure about anything here. Just an opinion.

See when folk question yer confusion, btw, point it out and you come back with "* off" and a bit of name calling - that's defensive patter, playground stuff. Clear yer head. Hope that's not too patronising for ye :50:

I think this is a bit * for samaras, the guy has scored 6 in 5 games, he is in the form of his celtic career, yes, maybe he should have passed to mcdonald, but what if he had scored from it?? no need for this thread, Mcdonald would have also had a go on goal, thats what strikers do, i think the ball had a bit of a bobble before he hit for the empty net, I think your being a bit biast for mcdonald here, sammie has pace that mcdonald doesnt, sure he may be a threat but why take of someone who has scored soo many in the last few games, bursting with confidence? if anyone else was to score on sunday, it was our number 9. Tynecastle is a tough place to go at the best of times, luck played a part in it, remember we hit the post 3 times, had one cleared off the line. hearts should have never been given the lifeline of that penalty, why loovens let the ball run across him i dont know, but lets crack on, have a good christmas, get a few against hamilton and killie, then have the best start to the year as we overtake the orcs on the 3rd. Merry Christmas all and have a blinder of a 2010.

You two stop having a go at one another and concentrate on the discussion.

As for the portion highlighted, you can cut that * out right now or you will be infracted. If you don't want someone to challenge your views then don't post then throw the toys out afterwards, simple as that.

It's simply, he's not good enough and he is not performing with any consistency throughout a whole season.
