Well my first game was a Rangers v St Johnstone game in the 80's when my dad took me he bought me the scarfs , flags the lot but never took to them about a year later one of my Rangers supporting uncles took me to Paradise to watch Celtic and we beat Hamilton (7 2 or something like that) and i was like love at first sight...He took me to the jungle and as a wee bhoy a was terrified but watching all these grow men shout and scream made me want more so i had to beg my other uncles to take me .

Like alot of people, I support Celtic because all my family are Celtic fans. Plus, Celtic are the ONLY team to give me that feeling of pride, and a sense of being in a warm and accepting family of fellow supporters. First time I went to Celtic Park, first few years of going even, I got butterflies in my stomach. Still do on occasion.
Yesterday, I done the tour for the first time and couldn't get the cheeser of my face.

    I * LOVE CELTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

never mind your liverpool, man u, chelsea or any english club supporting mates. they are a bunch of sky sports "premier league is the best league" sheep who fall for the sky sports money driven propaganda of the premier league. all real football fans know that in every league on the planet there are 2 or 3 good sides and the rest are only average and no matter how hard the premier league try to promote a game betwee the likes of birmingham and bolton most people know its gona be a load of *. support celtic because that what i was born in to and would'nt change it for the world. liverpool and english football have ruined the game with their desperate attempts to overpay average players to get them to play in england. the english league is in decline at an alarming rate and its all gona blow up in their faces very soon and we're all gona have a good laugh at them. hail hail:celt_2:

I grew up in a family full of Celtic supporters. I guess it just rubbed off on me having a father and 3 older brothers that all supported the club. I believe my father had someone in his line of the family that was once a goalkeeper for Celtic. He showed me old newspaper prints a few years back of the team at that time.

No its WHY you support them, not what you do to support them.

    Someone didn't read an OP..

Anyhoo.. I got into celtic at around 11/12 years old.I was having a * time of it and by chance i watched a game at a mates house whom i had done a runner too then from that moment i was hooked.

Before that i had no interest in football purely because all my time was concentrated on annoying my mum dad n family and being stupid LOL

It was fate that brought me to that TV and I'll be eternally grateful!! It gave me focus and a drive to earn the cash to support.

    Hail Hail. :shamrock:

Did you read the op? He isn't asking if you like Celtic,he's asking how you came to be a fan!!

If you have nothing relating to the Original post then don't post and troll the OP.

What else calls millions of strangers all over the world to voluntarily call each other 'family'? Celtic is more than a football club, it is an embodiment of a collective history, a collective belief in something good.

From the get-go, Celtic represented a wish to break down social divisions, end injustice and poverty and encourage fair and passionate play both on the park and in everyday life. That message is everpresent in our history and our culture, it is a message we have taken to the world through football and it has captured the hearts of millions of us world wide.

We are, as they say, more than a club.

my dad supports rangers, when i was younger (im only 14) i supported manchester united. Then after that little phase i got into football at the age of 9. Most of my friends suppported celtic + i loved the idea of a well known player in henrik larsson. In al honesty, if i was able to go back in time but have the family proudness i have, i would support rangers but once you support celtic you have to always be celtic and its too late to turn back now. i am prud to be a celtic fan.

My days in Derry exposed me to some great Celtic fans - both family and friends. When I went over to Scotland and saw Celtic Park and stood in the middle of the field that was it for me. That's when I knew this was my team.

i reckon it's a heriditary condition lol. all my family are celtic daft, my first memory of celtic was when i was about 5 an my old man was goin mental at the wireless so i started cheerin with him. it was the game when we beat the huns 4-2 wi ten men to win the league. i remember the 1st time i saw the maestro playin and bein totally mesmerised at this 16 year old boy and the sheer class that made him shine brighter than any1 else on the field. i hate to think how bleak it would have got if we never had him during the huns 9 iar,
