Stadium Name

One million for TV money rights, so if five million is offered for the annual rights of Celtic Park we should certainly think about. I would also state that our directors should be sensible and indeed sensitive to the likely names which could be used.

After all we would want it to be changed to Lloyds Bank Stadium on the Paisley Road West would we, no Paradise or Home of the SPL Champions 2010 would be just fine !!!

 

i was thinking more like Arsenal, the new spurs stadium planned to be built, man citys ground

I'm not sure about this, but as a few of you have said it would get called parkhead or celtic park anyway

would make no difference , we would still call it cp or parkhead , just free money really, but it would take a wee bit away from the stadium if you know what i mean.

 

Rebranding the stadium isnt to get the fans to call it something different, its for the media to advertise when they mention the stadium. They cant call it Celtic Park, they will have to call it the rebranded name and thats why it will be worthwhile for investors.

 

what a load of gash! 5m a year for 5 years? is that all celtic is worth? * that for a laugh. it will take a * lot more than that to do this.

 

Wouldnt bother em its only a name will always be parkhead or paradise to the fans, let these mugs throw there money in and grab it with both hands

Yep I agree only if the money was given straight to the manager to fund new players,etc. It will always be Celtic Park/Parkhead/Paradise anyway

 

Why would you want it to be called Glasgow Celtic Park? We aren't called Glasgow Celtic.

 

Calling it something like "Nike Stadium at Celtic Park" would be a fair compromise, and do a great deal to bring money to the club and increase our chances on the European stage, as well as stick the final nail in the coffin on the rankers.

 

Is Carling Stadium really "awe-inspiring"? Would any stadium named after a brand or sponsor be "awe-inspiring"? Celtic Park is the most awe-inspiring name our stadium could ever have as it's the name our stadium has always had - the same stadium that has seen so many great players, trophies, and games since its creation.

 

We would be daft to knock the offer back if it ever happened, who cares what the name is?
