Robbie Keane rumours resurface..., would u want him?

I don't think it will happen, but he would be sensational in Scotland, same bitter antiIrish * being rolled out here.

Ok you don't like the Irish because people think Celtic is Irish, instead of Scottish, fair enough, but doesn't mean because your scottish your more of a Celtic fan, considering how much some fans give up here just to get to a home match!

With regards to the speculation, Celtic are probably being used as a smokescreen to aid either a new contract or a move to another club, by putting pressure on the other party.

It would be a very good signing for Celtic, and it would give Keane a chance to win a trophy or two, to add to the one he has!

thank fck. Really decent player but the way of all the strikers in the world he is named again and again in these threads does my head in. To be honest he is still worth far too much for us to spend on a striker near 30 and he could only ever have come here on a Bosman situation. We could get as good, far younger for far less by raiding almost any European league.

 

Can the mods please ban any more Keane talk. Its such mince. The only way we would ever get him is when he is at or close to a Bosman situation and he is about 33. It would be Roy Keane all over again. I dont want that. Remember Ian Wright - was quality but like all the so called Celtic supporting big players he was only interested as a final fling when he was past it. He want even good enough for the SPL at that stage. We should concentrate on getting young talent like the dutch do.

 

i think keane would be a player that could fill the gap larsson left in the team a player that could score 20 to 30 goals a season and have a brilliant touch and some pace and before anyone says anything i dont think hes as good as larsson but he would do a simailr job
