i think these boys will get alot more people moving to that section than 445 simply because it is in a much better part of the stadium rather than being stuck in the nosebleed section

I sit in 123 and it was class. Best atmosphere i've seen and heard at parkhead outwith old firm games) for ages.

I've a mate who is a steward, not at parkhead, and his sister is also a policewoman. She was working at the game, and said that the biggest problem the police had wasn't the drum, but when singing celtic symphony, there were ooh aah up the ra chants. She was told that the drum had been taken away so that the singing may stop, but as we know, the police were booed, the stewards wre booed, and we all had a cracking day.

Is this the Comrades new section in 123???

If it is im gonna have to bring painkillers for our next 2 home games. Boxing day and 3rd january. That drum will kill me with my hangover lol

All this talk about a singing section is fantastic, I remember the days of the old jungle it was sensational being there for home games.

I do have one question though.....

Instead of having 3 different groups being in different places, wouldnt it be better to group them together so they can sing their songs and it would come across louder as their singing the same song, at times this season the GB would start a song and by the time others had joined it the GB were either a few lines infront or onto a different song.

If you think about away games the atmopshere is great because theres a large group of fans singing the same song at the same time.

In ways it would and wouldn't be better.

Good thing is everyone will be together and songs, displays etc will sound, look better.

Bad thing is Celtic will do everything in there power to avoid this along with Stewards & Police. We have a big stadium and to just have one stand were everyone is constantly singing and the rest rather quiet would seem strange.

When all groups are around the ground it will encourage other fans who wouldn't normally help with the atmosphere to maybe contribute.

To a certain extent yes, but this doesnt explain why, for example, Champions League matches are noisey yet the two visits of Rangers last year werent as loud as they normally are.

I strongly believe that if you have a designated stand (obviously they wont take up the whole stand) where these three groups are, then with them all coming together to make bigger brighter displays and all of their voices belting out the songs then it creates a better environment and the mentality of the vast majority of fans will see everyone enjoying themselves and join in.

the reason i asked mate, was because an altercation happened where i sit in 112. i think 1 of the stewards did the same with a gb drum. i thought mabey someone thought the comrades were the green brigade and found it strange they had never seen them before. sorry for the mix up.

I sit in 123, have done for six or seven years and the atmosphere has died right off just like in the rest of the stadium over the past few years. I missed the St Mirren game at the weekend there as I was working but I'm excited for the Boxing Day game to see another group in action after sitting with the Green Brigade a good few times over the past year.

I know what steward folk were talking about earlier in the thread, he seems to be very happy to clamp down on anything that could be suggested to be adding to the atmosphere. Obviously he's following orders but he doesn't need to look so gleeful about it!

It'll be interesting how well it takes off as I believe that the PLC still rank that corner as the "Family Stand", hopefully we'll see folk getting involved in songs all over the corner.

Was someone saying earlier the group isn't particularly political?

Is it alright if i come up and sit with yous? :50: I sit in 101 next to the shamrock bhoys and I have to say yous were brilliant at the Aberdeen game. I have sat in 111 with the Green Brigade and the atmosphere is electric. The Comrades were doing pretty well until the hun stewards took the drum away. I would appreciate it if I could come up and sit with the Comrades at the next game on boxing day :50:.
