    A in form Samaras is a great asset for celtic. I'm so pleased for the big lad he's on a good run of form. The minority of fans who find every little flaw in his game, as an opertunity to huff & puff at him, need to wake up & get behind the team! Samaras has been doing the business for club & country & those who say he's not a big game player are talking absolute fodder, just another excuse to slate a celtic player. He obviously loves playing for celtic & took a huge pay cut to force the deal through, In time to come i think he looks like one of the players, who we will look to for a match winning performance, still young, has good technique & after a few seasons at the mad house he'll carry our hopes on his back with ease! Hail hail big sammy :50:

    As many have pointed out Samaras is definately a confidence player.


    At Man City the fans turned on him quite quickly blaming him for their poor run even the press used him as a scapegoat for Pearce being sacked. If you stop and think about that it is utterly pathetic, they are basically saying that the success of the entire team rested on the shoulders of a 21 year old.


    I don't agree with the statement about him not being a big game player though. He practically single handily qualified Greece for the world cup with his massive performance against Ukraine. In comparrison Shevchenko looked like a shadow.

    I agree with that. I've actually heard and seen people complain about the fact that he looks scruffy or has long hair! I never heard anyone complain about Hartley having long hair and a bear or Nakamura and Larsson having long hair. I could go on.

    The important thing is that he plays well for the club - which he has done so far this season - and helps the team get results. His appearance is irrelevant.

    Ive always said he could deliver for us if he could get a decent run without injury getting in the way, hopefully this is his time to show it. He'll definitely score goals for us if he can get the confidence.
