Not too difficult a group for your neighbours England playing USA, Slovenia and Algeria, is it? But Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast in one group is something else…

To be honest I dont think there are many groups that are going to be interesting, looks rather boring

Brazil, Portugal, Ivory Coast group is the pick of the bunch for me. Think Chile have a chance to get through with Spain in group H :icon_mrgreen:

I don't know why USA - England match is occupying so much attention when Brazil plays Portugal in another group.

Draw seems a bit unbalanced. Some groups are tough and even, while other groups are piece of cake for 1st seeds. Spain, Argentina and Holland have easy task. I hope France struggles big time in their group, I can see hosts and Mexicans causing problems to them.

By the way, the whole draw was a freak show. First that guy with guitar-hero toy stated his 'performance' and then bald black women (!?) jumped out and started dancing, while obese *cough* lady sang with an amazing voice. Highlight of the night (literally) was Haile Gebreselassie, he didn't take smile off his face. Nevermind, I like the wee man, reminds me of Xi from "The Gods must be crazy". At least Charlie Theron made decent impression, at least something good from this whole thing.

I reckon Italy have the easiest group Othordox. I probably wouldn't have watched any group 1 game if France hadn't ended up there.

    My predictions:

    A
    1. France
    2. Mexico

    B
    1. Argentina
    2. Nigeria

    C
    1. England
    2. USA

    D
    1. Germany
    2. Ghana

    E
    1. Netherlands
    2. Denmark

    F
    1. Italy
    2. Paraguay

    G
    1. Brazil
    2. Ivory Coast

    H
    1. Spain
    2. Chile - Biased.

I couldnt believe the press down here ...Earlier today it was "England hoping for a bit of Luck to give them an easy passage" I thought , ffs a few weeks ago the press had them winners !! if they are good enough they can beat anybody so why do they need luck ?? ....

I didn't put them on purpose, mate. Italy is sneaky team specialized in later stages of tournament, but I can see them having troubles with these opponents.

And why the * do you think Ghana will go through?:icon_mrgreen:

I was really impressed with them at the last world cup when they got through and I'm putting a lot of faith in Essien.

I see your point, fair enough. But I have faith in our lads, I think we should beat Oz and Ghana. Well, that's the best case scenario. However, each one of African teams, as well as other 'smaller' teams, are dangerous in their own way. Drawing Africans is something other teams definitely want to avoid, can be astonishing quite often and have great moments.

There's definitely nothing to fear in that group, think all 3 teams would quietly fancy their chances of getting out of it. Yeh I'm actually disappointed Ivory Coast got such a tough group because I think they could cause a lot of others teams problems, still hoping the sneak through though.

I agree with most of it, but I believe Serbia and Portugal are more likely to go through...
Also it wouldn't surprise me if Slovenia beat the USA.

I think African teams had quite an unlucky draw. Especially Ivory Coast, S. Africa and Ghana
