It amazes me sometimes reading people's opinions of players on here. N'Guemo rarely has a bad game, just because you misplace 1 or 2 passes in a game does not make that a bad game. N'Guemo is our best center mid and our best defender right now. He's always tracking back and dispossessing players. He usually passes the ball real well and if he does make a bad pass, more often then not, he gets it back. He also is great at controlling possession which in turn creates chances for Mowbray's slick passing and build up attacking play. Those who say Robson is better, what a joke. What the * has Robson done all season? People keep looking back at what he's done the last couple years and holding on to that the same way a few did with JVOH. Crosas has been more inconsistent that N'Guemo imo as well while Zheng hasn't really had many opportunities as of yet. And we all know what Brown has been like this season, whether it's due to an injury or not.

I'd say N'Guemo is the only guaranteed starter in the midfield right now.

Spot on. He's been the most consistent player in the team imo. His performance level rarely dips and he works his little Celtic cotton socks off.

The other myth is that "aye he wins the ball a lot but only after he's given it away." I mean, even for people who don't rate the guy, that's about as far reaching as it gets. Basing crticism on a single play?

What next: "aye, that Danny Fox, he chips it up the wing and it get's headed out by a full back. What a * eh?"

    :97:

These myths are built up by one or two people on phone-ins/forums and then accepted as gospel by the hordes, who just simply spout it as way of projecting knowledge.

After some of the utter shysters we've had in MF over the last few season, we should be grateful we've got the wee French terrier there :shamrock:

im happy with nguemo, but i wouldnt sign him just yet. i dont think it would be right to sign him right now, and we should wait till closing months of the season to make an overall assesment on our players, but so far, i think he has been one of the better performers, and he's had quite a few MOTM performances for us.

dont get me wrong, im not saying he is the best player in the team, but so far this season, over all the games he's played, he's been the most consistant, but we've had alot of terrible performances this season, and even mcgeady has had his fair share of terrible games.

we need to see if it will benefit us signing him after we get some more new signings in january, and see how he moulds with different combinations, i.e, with ZZ, ki, crosas, brown. mowbrays going to have to find a midfield that works, and if nguemo isnt 1 of the players, then i can see him being offloaded back to nancy, i hope that doesnt happen though, because it looks like we are trying to build a young team, which would hopefully work well in our favour, with younger players value going up, then selling, and bringing through players from youth to replace them, with the odd signing here and there, instead of letting players just run out their contract and leaving for * all!

He'll have to keep up his level of performance if he wants a permanent deal. I've been impressed with him so far.

he has been our most consistent player this season he has bucket loads of energy from start to finish, good tackling ,decent positional sense, but strays to far forward somtimes.

I like wee landry He's a great DM.

Alot of things about him remind me of neil lennon he could turn out to be a great signing for us in years to come because he's still young, him and this south korean lad could really hit it off .

I wouldnt sign him yet. I don't think he's been outstanding for us but I'm hoping he will settle because he clearly has some quality.
If we have first option on him, let's leave him until the summer... it gives him an extra incentive to play well, plus it allows us to look at him closer, as well as assess other options.

I've found myself bored sometimes watching Celtic in the last month or so and I find myself watching just N'Guemo and no one else on the pitch. Try it.... I think it would make you appreciate him even more.

Like the Sammy thread, I think N'Guemo has reacted to the managers criticisms like a man & made real efforts to improve his game.

This shows good attitude & I would sign him without a doubt - he a cracking wee player & seems to be very likeable in personality.

He's had a lot to deal with as a young man moving to a new country, he has coped with this extremely well & this too shows good attitude & maturity.

I'm 100% certain that Mowbray will sign him.

find it amasing when reading the player ratings after games in which i think ngwemo has been very good if not our best player and he gets a 5 and [still not delivering all he is capable of] thats bollocks he was at least a 7 on sat.

Interesting you bumped this after last night, I thought he played well below the level he's shown he can.

he performed well, but had a few questionable moments. overall good performance last night in my opinion. top men were mcgeady and robson last night, with nguemo a close 3rd
