They've probably been lost amongst all the short memories on here.

Who was voted POTY in Scotland last season by the professional footballers themselves? Oh yeah it was Scott Brown.

We'll see how many N'Guemo, McCourt, Samaras etc win in their time at Celtic. None will be the answer.

Boruc is our best player, outfield player I'd go for either Hinkel or McGeady.

In fairness Samaras has played better than Brown this season. Not sure exactly what this means mind as you have a reasonable point, but going by this season, Samaras is better.

I'm pretty sure people had their votes based on players who actually play for us at the moment and looking at their current form.

Also, overall Boruc is by far our best player, that's our strongest position and I doubt Brown would get many votes because he isn't even our best midfielder, nevermind being as good in his position as, say, McGeady or Boruc.

I agree that Boruc is our best player. I voted for him myself.

I'm simply pointing out that for people to be voting for the likes of N'Guemo, Samaras, McCourt, Fortune etc before Scott Brown is pretty ridiculous. The bottom line is there are some fans just don't like Scott Brown. Why? I do not have a clue. If it's anything to do with the fact he's a Rangers fan then that is poor. If it's because of his form this season then that's just stupid because Brown has been injured all season long.

Agreed, ridiculous to vote these guys, but I take it that Lee Naylor would get few votes if he was on the list.

Don't know about him being a Hun, heard it few times myself, but I don't think that's the reason people don't vote for him. People are concentrating on this season's performances and Brown hasn't impressed. I don't remember much of him this season except for 15 minutes in Moscow. He was criticized big time for his poor displays.

To be honest, some players don't deserve to be on the list (including Brown), nevermind getting so many votes.

Brown isn't even our best midfielder never mind our best player. I would honestly rather see Robbo in the team ahead of Brown.

IMO hinkel has been our most consistant performer over the past18mths and that he should be offered a contract extension soon rather than the usual celtic way of dragging things out and we end up losing him for nothing.

Well you're entitled to think that, however I believe that Robbo offers us more. He is a better passer and he can shoot more accurately than Brown. He is also a lot better at set pieces and he has the same drive and determination as Brown yet he manages not to run around like a headless chicken like Brown.

As for Brown being a Hun - I dunno! But Kenny Dalglish was a Hun too before joining the hoops! No big deal to me but Brown needs to play better!

You're also entitled to think that. :icon_mrgreen:

Robson's legs are going though. This is his last season at Celtic imo. Broony is stronger, fitter(not at the moment obviously) and has better defensive qualities than Robson. He can also run with the ball better than Robson imo. I agree Robson is better at set pieces and shooting though.

I'd love to know who voted for him and if they honestly believe he's our best player considering he's only played a bit part for us so far - weird!

Aye that's the only thing that Robson does not have on his side and that is time. And I agree Broonie is the better dribbler. Defensively I'm not too sure, Robbo can get stuck in to challenges as well and is probably more disciplined defensively, well the exception was his challenge on Christian Dailly :icon_mrgreen:
