I voted for Boruc. But other than that I only rate Hinkel, N'Guemo, & Crosas highly with Brown, Fox, McGeady, Maloney, McGinn and McCourt being decent in spells. The rest arent great but it doesn't take a genius to know that!

But if you look at it. Based on that we have the making of a good team, if we bring back O'Dea and bring in an decent CB to play beside him, and if we can get two strikers in with Samaras and Fortune as back up then we should have the edge over the huns nae bother.

But in a perfect world we wouldn't be in the situation we are in just now and we could bring in and get rid of who we want but it ain't that easy!

Voted Robbo for me. Robbo for sheer inspiration and drive on the field.
    Captain material.

My vote is for Sammy we just need to get rid of Moany McDonald to allow him to regain his confidence, am i right in thinking Samaras went on his scoring run when Mcdonald was injured and not about? or am i wrong? lol

Robbo has that in abundance and that is something I love to see. The only thing about Robbo is that perhaps he is now on the wrong side of 30.

He's one of my favourite Celts and the way in which he lead us to 3IAR with his inspired performances (especially against the huns) was epic, we certainly missed him last season. The only league game we won against the huns was the only one he featured in, that tells it's own story.

I would actually rather see Robbo in the team than Broonie as he also gets stuck in but is a better passer and has a good left foot on him as well.

All McGeady can do is dribble and run. All the rest of his game is poor. People just get dazzled by Aidans tricks but if there is no end product or game intelligence then its a waste of time. Maloney is a much better at eveything but dribbling and hugely cleverer player. I would go as far to say that since Naka left, Maloney is out only regular starter with a first class football brain. Its just a shame he get injured a lot.

totally agree (was bound to happen sooner or later:icon_mrgreen:). Fans were really OTT about Broony. I think at core a lot of fans do not like him as they think at some subconcious level he is hunnish so when he is mediocre or subdued he is painted as a disaster. Some ate crazy enough to suggest he doesnt try for us. Nobody sane can say Scott Brown doesnt give his all. If we had 11 players with his attitude and engine we would be unbeatable. I would still say that even playing injured he gives us more than the other options have given us recently. Mogga obvously thought that a Brown carrying a serious fitness problem was better than all the other options and to a less extreme degree I think WGS used to do the same when he was slightly injured.

That said, it was another mistake by Mogga iMO to play the guy when he had a serious problem and IMO he was hung out to dry. That cant have done him any good physically and many fans eagerly IMO seized the chance to get the knife into him. The crazyness of playing him is shown by the fact that despite no new injury he is now considered nowhere near fit.

If we could get top dollar (likE perhaps 16 million pounds combined) I would actually consider selling both Artur and Aidan. Artur is a very good keeper but so is Zaluska and I think we need the money for new players more than we need 2 top class goalies. Aidan I think flatters to decieve. Great dribbler but that is it. If anyone will pay c. 8 million for him I would grab it becaise he is just not worth that much in terms of end product. We have several good wingers in our squad. With the money from selliing those 2 we could get in 4 excellent players and promote Zaluska and McGinn to first picks. Is not that I want to sell then BTW, its just I think we are well covered in their positions and we need 4 quality new players in than we need them.

That is why I think the board and the manager should never listen to the fans. Many fans are all heart but their heads are full of marbles. When WGS said only his opinion counted he was right. I suspect the board this summer made the mistake of listening to the fans wish for a Celtic man/celtic way manager.

That suggests Fortune is a Talk Celtic member. Certainly a member anyway IMO.

Of our squad the player that could cope at any level consistently is Boruc. From the outfield players I reckon Hinkel is the most solid and I think we'll struggle to keep him in January if I'm being honest. Even through this bad patch he is still plugging away the same way he has done since he came here.

Although I'm a massive fan of McGeady I think his attitude, even at the age he is now, smacks of a teenage prodigy and not of someone that should have matured far more than he has done by now.

Maloney, McGeady and N'Guemo all have votes yet Broony has none. So basically what we're saying here is that when Celtic have their first choice midfield playing that Broony is the weak link. What a load of *. :97:
