I absolutely love that man. My all-time favourite Celtic player. I cannot even bear to think about the day when he won't be between the sticks for us anymore. He's just brilliant.

I have won a few trophies for Celtic now and I think winning the Co-operative Insurance League Cup last season was one of the best. We were playing Rangers and I don’t know if there’s a better feeling than beating them in the final

Good to see he's taken the club to his heart - in my memory every single player who's been a modern day hero for us in the past decade has taken the club to his heart and played for the jersey.

Celtic lack these types of players. Big Artur is one of about a handful.

 

That was a great read. For me Boruc is the current exception to the rule of the lowering of standards throughout the Celtic team. He truly is a world class keeper and it has been great to see him back to his best this season after last seasons struggles.

But beyond his qualities as a keeper there is a passion with which he plays the game and his deep love and affection for the club is something he wears on his sleeve so to speak.

He is by far for me my favourite player at Celtic at the moment and sadly the only Celtic player currently who excites me with the level of his game.

I know the debate has gone on for a while now about who should be Celtic captain. I have never been a fan of McManus as captain. He simply isn't good enough for me. Clearly Mowbray came in and felt the same yet we have had Caldwell as captain instead. Hardly any real difference. Our lack of a clear captain while far from our biggest problem cartainly can't help and Mowbray must take the blame there. He said McManus wasn't for sure going to keep the armband and yet has since then never made any clear decision and the whole captain issue has just floated out there with no decision been made.

I always felt Boruc was one of the few current players capable of being captain but now I think Boruc should be made the new permanent Celtic captain as soon as he is fit again.

Boruc has indicated he is willing to sign a new contract which if he does will mean he will be a Celtic player for the best years of his career and will likely spend up to 10 years at the Club. He is passionate about the team and a vocal leader as well as IMHO anyway being our best player. Plus making a decisive decision like this might give the team a bit of a gee up in confidence which we badly need.

 

The guys an absolute legend,its great to see him back to his best and a player that has a genuine affection for the club unlike others in the team.hopefully hes here for many more season.

 

...And that is why I love you Artur.

The guy is an absolute legend and the only real world class player in the side. Perhaps more importantly, he is one of the few that is actually passionate about the club. We need more players that show the same passion as him. Say all you like about him in regards to some of his performances last season but he is still a legend in my eyes.

Great 'keeper, passionate about the club and he hates the huns, what more could you want ?

Just shows how much the big man now loves the club, thats what you want someone who plays and has desire for the jersey

 

As much as I love The Holy Goalie, and that's a lot, I don't think he'd be an appropriate choice to be captain I have to say. His lifestyle off the park hardly leads by example and he can be a bit of a maverick from time to time. Not really what you want in a captain I don't think.

 

It's good to hear at least some players know how important it mean to play for such a club!

I would love to see him captain... I think it's magic to see him giving the defence pelters when they continue their *. I think we miss that with him injured, although Zaluska is decent he doesn't have the same presence (and Boruc hates the Huns).
