Appointing a guy who has just lead his team to a 9-1 defeat ? Nah you're fine, Wigan can keep him. He wouldn't come anyway.

Levein is probably the best guy for the job as he works well on a shoestring budget and will manage to get the best out of his players.

Someone in my work thats told me a few other reliable things has told me that Mogga was given 6 games to save his job and united was game number 4!!

He then told me that the NEXT manager will be Giovanni Trapattoni. Ive also heard that someone that puts money into Celtic pays some of Trapattoni's wages with Ireland,

    We shall see!

Denis O'Brien is his name, he owns shares in Celtic (possibly about 3% but not sure) and I definitely wouldn't want him to be really involved with the running of the club, the Moriarty Tribunal has been ongoing for 8.5 years over here and he's the major focus of this public enquiry.

Denis O'Brien is also a Celtic Director

He's the 4th Richest man in Britain & Ireland worth £ 1,493 million.

i back mowbray but i was all for levein when strachan left and would be happy if he replaced mowbray

mowbray needs backing, the team is a shambles, have heard rumours that he has threatened to resign 3 times which i hope this is untrue but if there is no backing from the players then whats the point.

its very hard for someone to make people except your ways, this situation at celtic right now gives me a hint of the film the damned utd

Aye we're lucky to have such an honest upstanding board headed by a Chairman like John Reid. :97:

He failed with Croatia in the recent qualifiers and he is still living of Croatia's Euro success, because of this he is an over rated manager.

How do you know he'll find and buy these players ? He has never had to do it before.

This guy hasnt had to buy a player in his life but people want him as manager ,out of all the managers quoted when Strachan left and even some fresh ones since people want Mowbray out ,Billic is the man with the least experience ,he has never manage a club side and i said never bought a player ,so what has he got that the others dont have ?.
And since Mowbray became manager why hasnt Billic been snapped up elsewhere it has been a while since Mowbray moved in say 4-5 months now and yet Billic hasnt moved on ,hows is that?.

I think for all the reasons posted already by others I agree that Bilic would be the daftest choice. People are just attracted by the glamour of the guy but really he is a novice and knows nothing about club football. I dont believe for a minute all the great players from his part of the world would come to us for far less wages just because he was our gaffer.

As for all the Collins, Hughes, Lambo etc, will people ever get it into their heads that picking a manager on the basis of a Celtic background is plain stupid and TBH the club could (rightly) end up at a tribunal if they picked a candidate on that basis. Mowbray was OK simply because the candidate list was full of even less experienced guys with no record of success at a good level and no top level experience. The shortlist was shocking this summer. However, you really have to ask the question why did the board go down the Celtic man route. It is not a coincidence that 2 or the 3 candidates were seen as Celtic men. There is no way that that would have been the case by pure chance. We need to stop this stoneage thinking and its a complete disgrace that the board were influenced by this silly thinking.

Bilic's agent has been talking him up for alot of jobs thoughout europe, still no takers does that not tell you something.

He cant even finish in top 2 in there world cup group, never been in club managment, but he is the man for celtic???. Would rather have Gerard Houllier than him.
