I'd like to think i'm a fairly positive optimistic Celtic fanatic, but what I feared might happen today happened. Today is the day that I finally accepted the Mowbray will not turn it around. He is in over his head with this job.

His comments after the game underlined the fact that the guy is deluded. "A gulf in class"?? Since when did a team that were a class apart from the opposition rely on a * penalty kick to provide them with their only shot on goal.

    * * poor.

    the teflon factor

alrighty. disappointment can sometimes manifest itself as anger so i'll do my best not to sound like mr angry.
after todays result it is now becoming clear that unlike mr mowbrays statement that he'll improve players by working with them, it appears some players who have shone for us in recent years are looking very very average or as some shout from the seats around me.....fur * sake your pish.
i was wondering how long our current form will be deemed as acceptable by those who seem to want to blame the board. instead of blameing the guy who gave instruction and tactics to his players.
sure the board are culpable in not releasing a bigger purse to buy better players.....well excuse me but i reckon any celtic team should be beating 95% of teams at celtic park if not 100% and they should defo not be losing three goals to the falkirks of the world.
while i accept we have no divine right to win every match we contest, i do expect a standard of performance that should deliver the result we crave.
and for me mr mowbrays thoughts and plans are either not sinking into the current playing staff or they arent understanding whats being asked of them.
at the moment rumours of dressing room splits most definetly seem plausable and i wonder how long it will be before mr mowbrays teflon suit is replaced by one which begins to carry criticism. he's been let off the hook by fans who are blindly blameing the board for our troubles.
of course we have the added problem of who would we get to replace the current manager.....after all the original lineup of candidates was * poor to say the least.
furthermore i'd like a coach who understands keeping the back door locked is essential to winning league titles.

I said 4 weeks ago, Mowbray GTF. The guy is shocking, * poor tactics - * poor signings - we're in a race for 2nd to possibly the worst ORC team ever! Oh and to make it worse, im stuck in work with a group of huns, laughing their heads off at how * poor we are and how easily they will win the league.

    shocking

    Mowbray GTF

Yes, I hope he gets to * to be honest, I never wanted him in the first place and this proves how, * he has a worse record than both Barnes and Le Guen

anyone who defends mowbray today is mad, he as a manager shud have his players playing alot better, he should have his defence sorted far better than tht, they work on corners in training and most managers have there own system for defending, his clearly isnt working and cost us the match, he must go right now

lets put todays result to one side for a second and look forward. and this is my biggest problem...... i'm not so sure i trust mowbray with the cheque book after the signings he's made up to now.
and that is the most damning fact when considering how to address the where do we go from here question.

As dissapointed as i am with recent results and performances there's still time to turn it around and still win the league and unless mowbray walks away which i very much doubt he will, we will have to give till the end of the season the league isnt won or lost in november ffs i would be more worried if it was in may and we're still trailing the huns.

What was this, I missed this to be honest, If it was before the game would have missed it, wasnt in until 7th minute.

If any manager could sort our defence it should have been Mowbray considering he is a centre half, anyway, Sack the Board and Sack Mowbray

Mowbray doesnt need time to buy more players, I believe his problem is simply motivation and tactics. Being an athlete their is nothing that drives me more insane than my coach/manager just sitting in his chair basically emotionless, even Sir Alex is fiery on the touchline and hes about to croak, and I'm sure that Mogga gives less than inspiring speeches.
The tactical problem is that we have to play a 4-3-3. Anyone who has watched Celtic and Greece realize that Samaras and Fortune are strikers who like to drift out wide and hold up the ball, bringing other players into play. And anyone who has watched Celtic play knows McDonald just wants to sit in the box and pounce on chances to score. So there you go, the formation should look like this.

    Boruc/Zaluska
    Hinkel Caldwell Loovens Fox
    N'Guemo/Crosas
    Maloney/McGinn McGeady/McCourt
    Fortune McDonald Samaras

it has been claimed ( by an unreliable source ) that on the return flight from hamburg, mr mcgeady was flicking peanuts down the plane in the direction of the manager.
after today i wish he'd thrown the * seat.

its pure clear to be seen that mowbray has lost the players, remember his rant that the players were clearly not good enough an he couldnt wait to january!! if i was a player on that team it would off shattered my confidence an i would feel useless, its havin a negative feelin thru out the squad! on other matters i thought todays team sheet was terrible, playin robson out right an him left footed, id say mcginn was fumin, he was unbelievable on international duty last week an probably thought he deserved a shout!! as for mowbray i'll give him to january to see who gets rid of an brings in!

on other things Scotland played Wales last week an got destroyed in defence three off the four players were ofcourse celtic players! maybe it not all mowbrays fault maybe they are jus pure pish!!!

Sorry to say I backed Mowbray as new manager.
Results so far say I was wrong.
Players seem to be trying to play out of their skins, so responsibility lies solely with management.
Question is how long we put up with it.
Thought our 3 million + striker today was very mediocre. Poor signing.

NO. That's all I have to say about that.

Time for Mowbray to get things right?
