A striker that has no confidence whatsoever and is scared to shoot is not what we need.

    An absolute clown so far.

We'd be lucky if we got a couple of pound for him. Last time i looked there wasn't much call for a striker that does not score.

Big Jan had two good seasons with us - scored some crucial goals in his time.

Fortune is gash - some * has done us big time with this *.

I'm just back from Tannadice, he was * * today in my opinion, he shat himself to shoot anytime he had a chance always looked for the pass, could have had 2 to his name today. I really hope the board dont give him cash to spend in January on more clowns and instead use it to pay him off

    Just * shocking today.

I would rather see Killen..Killen scored goals in the preseason and scores goals for The Kiwis..and Fortune doesnt score goals. Or we could always get Cillian Sheridan back in the squad...

JVOH was a great player when he arrived. Probably too good for the SPL if the truth be told and we got him at a low price considering he was a goals machine at a good level. He just got ruined by repeated injuries. He scored plenty for us including a number of crucial goals in big games. I think if he had not been crocked so much he would have been a total legend for us and might have even still been here. Fortune is not fit to lace the boots of JVOH 3 years ago. Even in the past it state he is in now I think JVOH would have been top scorer today if he had stayed.

Sheridan has yet to score in 12 games for Plymouth according to Wikipedia. That doesnt sound good. I thought Sheridan looked to have something special about him at one time but its not panning out so far. Other loan guys do not seem to be doing too well either. O'Dea has been dropped and has had mixed reviews. I think McGowan is struggling too. As far as I am concerned if you dont shine on loan moves when you are 21, 22, 23 already then its time to be shown the door. I had heard that Ferry was doing well though. Maybe this needs a thread.

    agree!
Mcgeady beats 2 men lays it off brilliantly to fortune and instead of doing
what any "striker"at any level in the world would do and score or at least shoot he decides in his wisdom to take a touch and chance is gone.
sorry but hes not got it and never will have it.
just a thought, talking about transfers etc.remember when transfer windows used to have us worried about someone coming and taking
away our best players, well it hasnt been a problem for a while now
    has it?

Bit OTT in the slaughtering of Fortune imo.

Skippy hit a fresh air shot inside the 6 yard box after Aiden had whipped in a brilliant ball.

Both strikers were * today & offered * all, most glaring was that none of our strikers want to take penalties - which is a sign of their confidence in their own finishing abilities - * it from 12 yards free shot.

Pathetic - ok Skippy & Sammy were cheaper, but they all wear the same strip & none of them should be doing so.

Fortune does worry me about Mowbray's ability to judge a player & which type of player the squad requires significant funding to procure.

I think we should try and offload Fortune in the January window
as he looks a complete dud.

I would rather have Samaras or Killen before him, for at least they try their best.

I'd agree with that as well tbh, Fortune was in the positions not to shoot at least. Skippy contributed less than nothing today apart from 1 sliding tackle at left back. He looks overweight, not interested and is a complete waste of a jersey when he's not in the mood. The ball bounces off him and he potters about sluggishly all over the park.

I think Celtic should buy players from in Scotland at every opportunity, Mcdonald was bought for peanuts and done the job having became a proven SPL player, what about the likes of Lee Miller of Aberdeen (Riordan, was meant to work out).

Another thing is what is the point in bringing in all these youth players from italy, latvia , serbia if they go and spend that money on that.

I have to say i thought he was better than this. Sometimes it doesnt work, but the fee is the biggest thing.

Celtic really need a marquee signing, i think times are guna get worse unless the fans have their say like they did in the 90's. It is getting tedious this, the board are boiling my * because they have the money. There is always money coming in.
