I have been a fan since I was a wee boy, tell you something, It does not get any easier guys, I just hope you don't have any pace makers :) But I wouldn't swap it for the world.. I remember fondly, Henrik scoring for fun, Pierre scoring cracking free kicks, Andy Thom being a smashing player, Dicanio... why did these guys come to Celtic ? Because they felt something special, they heard the famous roar.. and who can blame them. Yes the game has gone down hill, yes we are not playing as well as we might, but you know what.. history sometimes blinds us, we remember the best of it and not the worst.. its natural, but no team I remember ever was flawless, and no team that ever excelled didn’t once go through its dark times.. you think Wim Jansens team that stopped 10 was perfect? they didn’t know what was going on at first.. you think that Strachans men were unstoppable, forget it.. there must be nothing tougher than coming to a team like Celtic and expecting success, and Mowbray knows it.. Every time Celtic have ever had success they have had to overcome certain things, and one of the hardest things to overcome was themselves.. pressure can do bad things to players, It can turn heros into villains, It can turn fans into enemies, It can turn hope into fear.. because no one is flawless.. I have never met a flawless player, and I have never met a perfect manager.. Just ask sir Alex, but one thing I can never question is a mans passion, and I believe with that we are very rich.. rich as fans and rich as players and rich with a very passionate manger.. I just hope that we can see through the changes and through the ups and downs and learn to cheer again . and I tell you why, because I know from the fact you are reading this that you are Celtic through and through and all you want is the best for your team.. and I believe that slowly the players will respond to that.. I know there is talent in our squad, I have seen it, we have some wonderful players and we have seen that even the biggest talent can be stifled by fear... I say * fear.. where did it ever get us.. I watch Celtic because I have them in my heart and I believe in them.. and I will not stop believing in them even when the naysayers are unhappy after a draw or a defeat, I will believe and cheer on.. and I know this is starting to sound like a script from the film Braveheart but what the *... I have seen too many mad seasons, too many ups and downs to get worried, I am sending some positive vibes to the players right now because there has been too much negativity surrounding them and I am a big believer in the power of thought and energy.. I hope you will join me in getting behind our team and seeing that glass looking a bit more half full again..

Hail Hail!

Fantastic post doyle!! We all as fan's need to back the team and support them through the up's and the down's! That is what has made Celtic and the Celtic fans so special! During the Hun's 9 in a row the fans stayed faithfull and kept singing that is what we need to do now.
Get behind the lads and support them, we need more positivity and more people thinking like doyle.

100% agree with you but one thing that bugs me , these players today earn big money and dont earn there corn, while kidding all us on that they are footballers, the difference for me is we can say that "he is a good player and is not playing well"or we can say "he is a poor player and is a waste of space" and this is where we draw the line.

now i back the club 100% but some of the deadwood i find it hard get behind them whatsoever

on a positive note one day the impersonators will be moved on:50:

...dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Hail Hail!!

Great post mate, we really need to get behind the team instead of getting on their backs at time. It is frustrating how much scottish football(+ we as a team) have went down hill over the years, but as celtic fans we just have to get on with it and cheer the team on,win, lose or draw.:shamrock:

Not to sound repetitive here but you got it spot on mate, my life basically revolves around The Bhoys, whether were drawing Falkirk 3-3 or winning 3 titles in a row. Hail! Hail!

Danni, understand were your coming from, some of those wearing the famous hoops are not fit to wear them simple is that.
i spend up to £1200 pound a year on celtic, 2 season tickets.travel, food, drink and merchandise i ve been doing this for 11 years now
so if it boils down to contributing to paying some ones wages, who are or is complete and utter incompetant then we must think again.

surely you cant be happy with whats on show,so why except the standards that we are seeing

No I'm not happy with the standards but like I said while they are on the pitch they'll get my support, I'll criticise them after the game if they put in a poor performance but while they are playing for us I'll do my best to spur them on and just maybe help get that little bit more out of them.

I've seen worse players than the current lot in the hoops and I'm still going strong as a supporter.
