Says on Sky Sports News. Said over 14 voted against. That is alot to try and sway. For me there is no chance ever.

Doesn't surprise me that we have been rejected, We are just going to have to accept the fact we are stuck in the SPL, & hope that some how Scottish Football can get a lift from somewhere & get money generated into it.. To be honest tho, I didn't want Celtic to leave anyway, The only way I would have wanted Celtic to have left Scotland would've been if we got to compete in the English League, but still got to play in the Scottish Cup, cos would still like to see Celtic at Hampden at the end of the season :icon_mrgreen: (If we got there that is). & if we played in the English League Cup then we would have a chance to play at Wembley & Hampden, not many teams can do that, but maybe the dream of moving away should be put to rest now, & instead of the Old Firm looking for away out, should look to find ways & means of pumping some badily needed funds into our Leagues..

If I recall correctly then since the last vote in the last couple of years, we've gained 6 more fans! Another 5 in the next few years and we're balls deep!

    Not surprising.
Too much at stake. Mainly revenue.

Do we know who voted for?

Never really wanted to go to the Premiership anyway - the thought of representing England in Europe sickens me. Would be selling our soul to the devil.

The Atlantic League is the way forward. :50:

Very very short sighted. Don't know how many matches I've seen on tv where hav
lf the away section is empty cause fans won't travel with their clubs. I think Celtic and Rangers would fill the away ends at any ground in the league!

Well from the media you can guess the six were:

    Spurs (Redknapp)
    Bolton (Gartside)
    Aston Villa (MoN)
    Birmingham (McLeish)
    Everton (Moyes)
    ??? (?)

Would we need all 20 clubs to vote us in or is there a certain majority?
Interesting quote from Richard Scudamore from a while a go, "Scottish football is Scottish football. For a traditionalist like me, that's where the Old Firm should play." Yes, the Premier League Chief Executive, who proposed a 39th game abroad, is a traditionalist.

I reckon Wenger might have been the other one, seriously, I mean he wants to win in Europe, and the thing thats gonna help his team get better is playing in a stronger domestic league! Or maybe Anchellotti?

    Wonderful post.

I agree that we are a Scottish team, who should be playing in Scotland, but also confess to laughing vociferously when i read his quote.

A league like Rugby would be better....Scotland,Ireland & Wales....

    Celtic,Rangers,
    Cardiff and Swansea

But some of the other teams would have to join together....

like a few of the Irish clubs around Dublin,

    Dundee& Dundee Utd

    Hibs and Hearts

Not a bad idea, you could take in Linfield and Glentoran but to be honest like, the only draw would be Celtic and Rangers and ya can't say by adding in two championship and a couple of LOI ones, you'll improve the scottish league!

That's just the managers, the chairman and board were the men that voted.

You don't say, but would it be safe to assume that the managers can also speak for the club, particularly when it comes to the media? I obviously don't know for sure not being at the meeting but as said in my post merely making assumptions from the media..
