    Apparently John Barnes has a better record over his first 21 games than Mogga ;

    Barnes: P21 W15 D0 L6 GF55 GA16
    Mowbray: P21 W8 D5 L8 GF32 GA22

I think its time for mobray to resign. He's not up to the Job. If Rangers were not so bad we would be well behind in the league. As it is we are out of the League Cup, Out of Europe (Bar a Miracle) and underperforming as a group. As for the people who are gonna say give him time. How much time are you gonna give him? Till the end of the season - by then it will be too late.

    Your Thoughts.......

Aye we'll give him time. Till the end of the season. :50:

We can still win the league with the players we've got, we just need to get them playing like they did against Kilmarnock at home, not how we played against Falkirk away yesterday.

How can we go from being so good one week to so bad the next week and it's the managers fault.

Just seen that there.. And i said at the start of the season that i would wait until half-way in until i give my opinion on him.... Its shocking if you ask me. IMO i think he had enough time to prove himself, time is running out on him. We just have to wait till January and see who he brings in.

    2 years without a title :87:
Mowbray has to be given time, there has been evidence of what he is trying to achieve this year and when he (hopefully) gets some money in January to get players capable of playing the system he wants it will come good.

Same * different day my friend. Another "blame it on the manager" hater fs im sicka you lot. Mowbray has been given half a transfer window to strengthen the squad with limited resources and you think the team underachieving is his fault? Try blaming the players wearing the green and white hoops week in week out.

Within the next few transfer windows 75% of the current playing squad will be wiped out because they shouldnt be given the opportuntity to play scottish league football never mind playing for our club.

Back the manager, dont moan. Its the players who are the plunkers not the manager :38:

I'm not one for making rash judgements, but I genuinely think Mowbray hasnt got it.

Where you around to witness the 9 years we went without a title not that long ago?

It would be terrible if we didn't win the league this season however I'm willing to give Mowbray the time to make an impact. Some of our performances this season has suggested he is the man capable of bringing decent performances coupled with wins to us, although other games have been atrocious.

Mowbray has to take a large proportion of the blame for poor results due to poor decisions and/or not getting the best out of the players but the players also have to take their share of the blame for some of the schoolboy errors they've committed several times this season.

My thoughts are that the above stats are a load of pish (I realise they're not YOUR stats so not having a go at you btw.)

The 21 games of Barnes reign are clearly the majority played in the SPL, whilst Mowbrays have involved playing against the likes of Dinamo Kiev, Arsenal, Hamburg, Vienna etc.

But. the THREE games barnes did play in Europe, one of them was against the mighty Cwmbran Town, who we beat 10-0 on aggregate. And when did Tony Mowbray ever beat anywone in Europe 10-0 I hear the Mogga doubters cry!!

And, factually, from what I can see, the stats don't appear to be correct anyway. Who'dathunkitt??

So, sorry, but I'm not buyng these agenda-driven stats at all. In fact knowing that these stats (from Vital Celtic) are posted (in Vital Celtic) with NO explanation and NO attempt at equality, actually makes me dig in my support for Mowbray even further.

By all means, criticise the manager (let's face it, it's hard not to at the mo) but when it's done in such a surruptitious manner like this, it's hard to feel anything but contempt for these agenda driven neer-do-wells.

Again, this is not directed at you mate, JUST the stats :86::shamrock:

People moaned for Strachan to get the boot because the team didnt perform well, he quit and now a different manager is here and still the players are performing just as bad and sometimes even worse. Do you think that sacking Mowbray at this stage will be the answer? As Mowbray proved, its not just a case of bring in a new manager and all the problems melt away.

I have my reservations about Mowbray but I think sacking the manager will just compound our problems, not fix them for a whole host of reasons.

Cost to buy Mowbray + Grant + Venus - £2M+
Cost to sack Mowbray + Grant + Venus - £2M+
Cost of players Mowbray bought - £6M+

Thats a expensive mistake and will the new manager want the players Mowbray bought? Will he flog them for less than we paid? Will a new manager be forced to use players he dont really want?

Just building on what Roy's Keane said...

Barnes had Larsson, Viduka, Lambo and Lubo if I'm not mistaken. We don't have anyone near the quality of those players.

    Mogga will get it right.

We aint competing against a rangers side like we were years ago.

If we dont win it would be an embarassment.

Mowbrays record would be a lot better if he had a Henrik Larsson in his team.

Would not compare Mowbray to Barnes as Barnes had a few cracking players in the team when he took over.

John Barnes had far better players to work with than Tony Mowbray has. It's not rocket science to work that one out.

If Mowbray had the likes of Lambert, Stubbs, Burley, Moravcik, Larsson and Viduka at his disposal then he'd obviously be doing better.

Just another weak attempt to discredit our current manager imo. :87:

He did have Larsson in the early part of the season. Tony Mowbray is still in the early part of the season.

That is the comparison that is being made. Poor one though it is.

I've heard this numerous times the past week. It's an empty stat, John Barnes start to his Celtic career is still the best since Jock Stein. He is still useless at managing a football team though.

I have my reservations about Mowbray but I'm more interested in the direction we're heading rather than how his record stands up against ex managers.
