I watched it on sky and had the tele volume up to the max but could only hear like a chanting in the background as if it was away way outside the stadium if you know what a mean.

According to the BBC Scotland radio team everyone inside the ground behaved impeccably and a number of Celtic fans came in late.

First of all, well done to all of those who have come on the board and slated the mindless twats who decided it would be a good idea to sing during the minutes silence, inside or outside the stadium.

I listened to it on BBC Scotland and the singing was plain to hear.

These idiots clearly don't know the meaning of remembrance Sunday. Most of them are so fixated with having a go at the Army/Forces for what happened during the Irish troubles, they forget the 750,000 that died during WW1 and the 325,000 that died during WW2. Without their ultimate sacrifice then none of them would be here today supporting the club they claim to love.

I'm not going to get into the wrongs and rights of war, either N.Ireland, Iraq, Afghan or any others. I'll be heading out on my third tour of Afghanistan soon, I didn't ask to go there. Neither did the other 200 that have lost their lives since we entered in 2001. Wrong or right, your anger shouldn't be directed at them, their families or friends. Neither is a football stadium the right place to make your feelings known, take your protest to London and the Government.

For the first time, I'm embarassed and asahmed to be associated with the club I have supported for 26 years and its all down to a mindless few. The media deserve to have a go at us and so does everyone else.

    Shame on the minority.

And to think you support a team which resides in Scotland, Great Britain and guessing the majority of supportes are british you want us all to die, be dead.

    Does not make much sense

And what about the hundreds of thousands of Irish men that joined the British army to fight for the freedoms that you enjoy and take for granted today? You cant even muster an ounce of respect for them at least?

    Ignorance is bliss, eh?

so i'm only acceptable to you if i'm dead? i take it you don't go to the home games with all the people that you wish dead everywhere? we're a club with a rich irish heritage but we first and foremost are a scottish club, the clue is in the location and the league we play in. scotland unfortunately is a part of britain, i wish it wasn't and continualy vote for that to change come election time but as it stands we are unfortunately british.

i'm a big fan of the irish element of our support i think they show a fantastic commitment to the club and i respect and envy that, i doubt i could devote the same time and money a lot of them do, but people who have the views expressed in this post i don't understand why they support a club in scotland and frankly in my opinion they aren't welcome.

I was caught up in the 2 minutes silence today in Tesco, no biggie just stand there don't make a show even if you don't agree with it. Thing is 90% of people just kept on going about their business some even talking away, nothing political just arseholes in the main that have bought in totally to the me me society. Anyhow I digress.

I knew that today would be controversial as a silence to give a mark of respect was going to be imposed on a team, an idea, a culture, the descendents of people that not only have no respect for those the silence was for and have suffered terribly even before the tan war or the recent conflict. Not forgetting of course the millions, aye millions of Irish and the diaspora across the globe who know full well the history of the British in Ireland and would not have been particularly enamoured of the team that represents said diaspora, being party to this 'mark of respect'

If I was at Falkirk today I might have stayed outside(which I reckon plenty did) sat in silence inside, or even stood with my back turned as a gesture of protest that still allows us to retain an element of dignity. To my absolute horror, and something I am still angry about my team emerged with the poppy smack bang in the middle of their chest. There were gasps followed by outrage in my house, despite anticipating problems with the silence no-one anticipated Celtic having this emblem on their chest. A totally uneccesary gesture that must have come from the hand of our resident anti-Scottish London Labour war-monger par excellence himself. It is my intention to write to Celtic to ask who sanctioned such an insulting gesture, and ask why such an unprecedented occurence could even be contemplated never mind achieved.

I read about two thirds of the way through these message boards and had to stop. I'd suggest that the apologists for the British army educate themselves as to their previous murderous campaigns not only in ireland but wherever subject peoples sought to free themselves from British rule. You dishonour the memory of people who were murdered, harrassed, intimidated merely for the crime of being Irish by the agents of British domestic and foreign policy, namely the british armed forces. I am sick of the forced jingoism of late, people being pressured to wear the poppy on TV, all the * about 'our heroes' on TV and some news rags.
