Now I am not here to slate wee McDonald but what has happened to him ?

I am at a loss as far as reasons for his lack of form. Now I know he is still our top scorer (or joint) but he is really lacking something. The only thing I can come up with are the following.........

    1. Lack of confidence ?
    2. Out of shape ?
    3. Missing big Jan ?
    4. Fractured eyelash ?
    5. Menopause ?

OK so maybe not No.4 that's just stupid but the rest are all I could come up with.

I should add that I am a big fan of his but just confused with his lack of form.

    Any Ideas ?

    He's a moany *
Too busy moaning that his * problem. In the match tonight he let the ball go past him and then moaned to Crosas that it wasn't passed to him wrapped up with a bow on it.

I've stuck up for Skippy so many times here but I was so mad with him tonight. He's the best finisher at the club and we gave him two gilt edged chances tonight and he didn't take them. Really disappointed in him. :54:

scott mcdonald is a SPL striker, he's top end SPL like, but the reason he didnt make it big anywhere else is cause hes slow, small, and moany, celtic can do far better, and i said tht they day he signed.

i will give him this tho hes score some good and important goals for celtic, but then again so did harold brattbak lol if you play upfront for celtic ur gonna get 5/6 chances per game atleast.

I dont mind Scott McDonald decent player and has provided a good return considering how much we paid for him.

But In My Opinion he was only our top scorer as the best of a bad bunch.

A team of Celtics quality in the SPL are always going to create chances and inevitably someone is going to finish top goalscorer. He doesnt do anything out of the ordinary and again in my opinion , he is a really average player at best.

The Australian manager isnt too keen on him either due to his poor goalscoring and general performances.

Due to the circumstances surrounding Scottish football at the moment its not as if Celtic can easily find a player in the mould of Sutton Hartson Larsson etc. So we will have to make do with him for the time being.

Celtic need a few strikers badly !!

But his worth is going downhill faster that David Murray with no brakes.

He scored 15 in 32 apps with motherwell so thats not too bad.

Its gotten worse and worse tbh. I think he feels like he done enough in his first two seasons and then thought * it what have i got to prove iv scored more than anyone else. His work rate has gone way way down. He's actually becoming a disgrace to that number 7 jersey he wears.

He's a 20 goal a season striker, him scoring 30 in his first here was an exception to the norm. People's expectations of him kinda went overboard tbh

He definitely not playing aswell as he could be but I'm not going to take all our problems out on him. He needs to get back to basics and look at videos of himself at Motherwell/1st Season here compared to this season and last and note what he's doing and not doing and fix it.

Its easy to slag Skippy cos he makes himself a large target by the body antics he pulls throughout matches.

BUT the manager has destroyed him just about every game this season by taking him off around the 60 minute mark. Go back and see how many goals, and important ones at that, he scored for us under WGS in the last 10 minutes of matches. Taking Skippy off is destroying his confidence.

As for Australia, he has put himself at odds with National Team cos he chooses to miss travelling half way round the world to ensure he is always ready to play for Celtic. Fans should go easy on him for this point.

Hate him you may but he has been a great servant to this club scoring at 1 goal per 2 games. Where are all the others stars

I say thanks * we have him and yes we we are able to spend 5 to 10 million quid on a better striker, then I am all for it. Until then we have the best striker in the SPL.

guys the strikers were doing well enough before mowbray arrived , he seems to have sucked the confidence from all the players , can he be trusted with 8 to 10 million looking at the "striker" he paid nearly 4 for??
im all for giving the man time but how long can we go on like this for? n'guemo is an accident waiting to happen and it looks pretty certain heid will be off in january so why persist with him , he looks like a rabbit in the headlights half the time. out of three comps before xmas is no good by any standards!

Are you counting the champions league as one of the cups... If so. We were put out by one of the most in form team in europe at the moment.
