    I was watching the Scotsport thing last night, I actualy like him, he slagged Rangers all night about the Sectairain thing.



    Another question did anyone watch the Fanzone thing, it was awfull to be honost lol

    I like the way he is honest. He was actually brought up in a Rangers supporting family I am led to believe. He's a football fan and doesn't really have an edge towards any team and he is known to be a follower of rugby union.

    Liked at comment - a used to hate the guy but hes really grown on me lately - and the whole Herald/Murray incident was priceless!
    He calls it as it is usually, which makes him look a bit biased to Celtic, but thats just because hes tellin the truth unlike others (shug)

    lenny1 and murphy7 are spot on. The guy does a really good job and is never afraid to speak his mind when he believes that a club or individual is doing something wrong. He is the only journalist ever to have a go at Murray and will probably be the only journalist to EVER have a go at Murray. Good on him.

    Far and away the best journalist in Scotland, indeed one of the best in Britain only touched in my book by McCarra, McIlvanney and Winter. Speirs possibly edges it for me because he works in an environment where there are far more "taboo" subjects and he is not afraid to take them on. Always worth reading, I don't always agree with him but he at least challlenges you to think - Top man

    I think he is OK at what he does, but I don't rate his knowledge of players skills or team tactics. He sticks to commercial or political issues. Did he actually play football at a decent level when he was younger.
