There was a small story on ESPN soccernet about Mowbray's Transfer window Shortlist, the 5 name that stood out were

    Sylvinho - Manchester City
    Benni Mcarthy - Blackburn Rovers
    Nicolas Bentdner - Arsenal
    Ricky Von Wolfswinkel - Utrecht
    Sean St Ledger - Middlesborough
    Mathew Kilgalon - Sheffield United
    Christopher Samba - Blackburn Rovers

Can someone please help me and find this article on ESPN or somewhere else, I am also wondering if the board would fund this time of heavy investment and who would have to go to make it happen

Sylvinho - Manchester City - Possible
Benni Mcarthy - Blackburn Rovers - Aye OK
Nicolas Bentdner - Arsenal - Dream on, don't even rate him highly, but would still cost around £12m
Ricky Von Wolfswinkel - Utrecht - Possible, but doubt it
Sean St Ledger - Middlesborough - Strachan let him come here? hmm, in a swap maybe
Mathew Kilgalon - Sheffield United - I'm soo excited about this one....
Christopher Samba - Blackburn Rovers - No Chance for anything under £6m, so yea, no chance

Unless he's got some ridiculous funding, I can't see any of them happening.

I hope there is no truth in any of these. (Well I kind of wish there was truth in the Bendtner rumour but come on, flying pigs etc)

Sylvinho - Manchester City - Maybe
Benni Mcarthy - Blackburn Rovers - I reckon its a possability
Nicolas Bentdner - Arsenal - Couldnt afford him, i think hes a decent player, far better than Samras
Ricky Von Wolfswinkel - Utrecht - Not seen him
Sean St Ledger - Middlesborough - He is contracted to Preston so Strachan has no say, i would take him in a heartbeat
Mathew Kilgalon - Sheffield United - Far better player than what people think of him
Christopher Samba - Blackburn Rovers - Awesome big player, couldnt afford him though and a few top english teams are keeping tabs on him

We could have had Samba for around 2-4 hundred thousand but our much hyped scouting system failed to notice him, he goes for a trial at Blackburn and the rest is history.

We would have no chance with Bentdner but he has a pish attitude anyways.. Sean St. Ledger maybe the only one that I can seriously see happening.

Of course there will be funds, why do u think Mowbray has confirmed he is gonna make signings in January. I would love all of those players, but id leave out Bendtner and St Ledger.

Id do anythin to have Sylvinho, Samba, Killgallon. Dangerous gettin 2 new CB's in the middle of the season, but i think they would push the chuckle brothers out the team within a couple of performances.

There will only be funds if we sell.

We bought Fox for LB and Naylor is capable of being back up so we dont need Sylvinho.

I think the only chance that we get Sylvinho or Mcarthy is on a loan deal of sort since niether is starting and my be tempted by playing full time, I think Wolfwinkel and kilgalon are very possible and they would be a great fit, but again for this to happen, we would need to realease some funds and sell caldwell and brown just to begin with.

Sylvinhio plays for Man City and McCarthy is at Wigan, neither are needed or wanted.
