Thought it was a good team performance but 2 sticklers for me:

    1) The only reason Scott McDonald is in this team is for his finishing. Let's not beat around the bush, other than that his contribution is zilch. So when he gets 2 on a plate for him to miss both is nothing short of disastrous. He needs to sort himself out.

    2) Naylor? Fox wasn't having that great a game so pushing him up the field for the sake of NAylor was madness. Should've gambled and stuck McCourt and McGinn on either wing.

It wasn't a great performance, second half especially. Hambury must have been in and around are box for nearly the whole of the second half. The only player I thought who played well was Zalukas. We had no imagination whatsoever apart from one or two good balls in the whole match. McCourt i feel was badly missed and should have been put on instead of Naylor.

I thought Nguemo was very good tonight also.

So predicatable in the end though, I knew before kick off we would create multiple chances, * ourselves and do * all with them, standard European procedure for us.

Only suprise was that they didn't take thiers.

As others have said, on another day that would be considered a great result.

How many times have we been unlucky away from home in Europe, this time our luck held out and we deserved the draw imo.

Hopefully we can build on that and get a win against Hapoel and Vienna to restore some pride.

If anyones having a laugh it's you. Where were his 3 or 4 chances or attempts tonight? You must've been watching another game, as he did'nt lose the ball 'every time', in fact in the first half he was the only one that the ball seemed to stick to. Least productive player? he teed up both McDonald and Robson for great chances, both fluffed, but where are your howls of derision towards those two?

Really can't see how you could take that from his performance. Generally his passing was tidy and played a few sweet ones.

Exactly although big sam faded in the second period. He comes through with a solid 8 for me.

A bit of both IMO. Some great passes but some stinkers also.

technically, If you draw with Hamburg and we win, then we beat you and Hamburg lose, we can still qualify.

    Don't fancy our chances though.:56:

inparticular the the 40 yard ball in the 2nd half for samaras fluff effort (why didn't he aim for the corner ffs) and the the one inside the fullback to samaras for the fluffed cross to fortune (fortune ws begging for a low cross to be fired in)

Exactly, he tried his best by trying to stick to the ball and create chanced which is more than can be said for a lot of our players tonight. I think Sammy gets a lot of unnecessary flack from supporters who see one match and instantly label certain players as targets of abuse.

Agreed, I think in the last 15 minutes or so he was rapidly becoming disillusioned with the lack of support, or indeed a strike partner.

Overall, Zaluska, Caldwell, N'Guemo and Samaras were all played very well IMO. Robson got pass marks, but felt his inclusion on the right side a) broke up the flourishing partnership between Hinkel and McGeady and b) prevented Hinkel from getting forward as much as he would have liked. Would have preffered McGinn on the left and McGeady on the right to start the game.

Same old story cant put the ball in the net, the players had the chances but again failed to deliver. What can Mogga do more, its the players who miss chances and the ones messing about at the back that are to blame for * european results. Apart from the Arsenal games we could have and maybe should have won every game, but as i said we cant finish :31:. Bad times just now but lets just concentrate on the league this year and come back stronger for the CL next season :50:

saw a fair few positives tonight. Firstly there is ni doubt in this and last weekend that Mowbray has tweaked the system and we are now set out more like we have been over the last few years. The only word I think for it is solidity.

The last couple have also seen our CD pairing returning to form. THe CM didnt cover runs well tonight so the CDs had to be on top form. I lost count of the number of great blocks and headers won.

N'Guemo was the usual mixed bag of inspirational effort and drive mixed with a bad tendancy to do straight hospital passes forward when he should play sideways.

I thought Robsons strength was very important. He did very well and I think we would have lost tonight if he hadnt played.

Sammy put in the sort off incredible shift that stops me from writing him off. Heart of a lion today.

I think we played a classic successful European away game tonight. The damage was done in prevous games.

He was too inconsistent for me, for every good pass he had a rubbish pass as well.

By no means was he the worse player but he wasn't the best player either imo.
