For all the constantly negative people..what was wrong with today's performance?

McGeady was dangerous constantly and finished beautifully. McCourt is a must need in the lineup because every time he touches the ball he puts the defense on their heels. Sammy played the channels perfectly, created chances and finished a header. N'Guemo and Crosas both played better than Brown in my opinion, they fought in central midfield and didnt give up possession. The back line was stout, Caldwell and Loovens were mistake free, Danny Fox played great defense and Hinkel was an attacking threat with that perfect through pass to McGinn. McGinn is always a problem for defenses when he comes off the bench and it was good to see Fortune back. The only player I wasnt impressed with today was McDonald.

Don't give the negative ones an open goal by having a thread with this name.

Other than that your performance has been quite good today. :icon_mrgreen:

I think if we play like we did today with fortuné instead of mcdonald we could be a good team. It was the first time in ages I have seen free flowing passing from celtic and was really nice to watch

Would you have taken that score before the game ,its not about how we play just now ,its about confidence and picking points up and the more that happens the will settle down and begin to play better.

    Samaras

Maloney not playing made a difference, hasn't kicked a ball since he came back, with McCourt and McGeady both looking dangerous in possession, it leaves the opposition *, you can double up on them both or you've no defence left.

McGinn done well too, Which is a bonus as it seems Paddy can't last 90

You are right mate :50: We just have to let off some steam every now and again :56:

Remember we have had a very tough last season and a quarter, and it takes a while to get over that *. It's all in the mind mate :50:

If you want to nitpick thought we looked a bit vulnerable at cross balls, Kyle for them won nearly every ball in the air.

Generally though the team played really well, passing and movement was excellent, was a good game to watch I thought.

I agree totally with TheCeltic, mil1ermannd and alsybhoy. I been down in the dumps since the defeat at castle greyskull, rocked by the CL games and the coop cup, i was losing confidence but i saw we had chances just not netting. But faith restored today, we can win because we have the best players. We have a much better squad than the huns. Just needing to be more clinical in finishing, put in the effort to win the ball and not give it a way cheaply. We are not that far away.

Absolutely mate. The people saying "we are just as bad as them" were always way off the mark, imo.

But I know by now that when Celtic have failed to win, there's not much point in confronting some people with facts - if they can't have a glorious victory, it has to be a shameful disgrace. There's no subtle shades in between... :icon_mrgreen:
