i believe that todays game should give us a fair indication on just what we can expect from our management team and their players. following on from the hearts game, were i didnt think we played too badly, we need a big result today. for two reasons.
1....to show the world we are on the right track, heading in the right direction.
2....mowbray has to prove he can lift the team and pick the correct side and formation against our opponents.

if we fail to win today, which i think is a real possibility, it'll be an invitation to the rest of the league that we're there for the taking.
we need to send a message out that we are celtic, we're top of the league, and the days when a team visits our house and gets a result are over.
    hail hail

Spot on. I thought we playd very well against Hearts. Very unlucky as it could have been about 5-3 to Celtic.

If we can score 3,4,5 goals today and keep a clean sheet and get something from Hamburg that would be great.

It's no use McDonald or Samaras getting one today and hehaw next time. 3, 4 goals between them today is what they need.

    We're going the right way!

Totally agree pal, Playing 4-5-1 at home is unacceptable. We are Celtic and should be destroying these teams with an attack minded formation.

Yep hit the nail on the head there :50:

Problem is and I hate to be a pessimist but.............

Can anybody really see it happening? especially winning with a big margin?
    * me keeping a clean sheet is like a result for us these days! :31:

    I really hope i'm wrong and come 4.45 I look like a * but.....

think the reason he playing 4 5 1 is cauz he cant trust the defence, if u noticed we hav been better at the back recently barring a few errors ,we also creating lots of chances so its not like its overly cautious system ,its still an attacking formation that relys on supporting players getting into the box which is very hard to mark.

Agreed. 4-5-1 is not in itself a defensive formation. It's the way the team plays it that's defensive or attacking. For example there's a total night-&-day difference between a Walter Smith 4-5-1 and the Tony Mowbray version.

When, like us, you have most of your attacking talent in midfield, it makes sense to use that to best advantage. :50:
