Be honest they can call it the empire state building for cash but the fans will always call it the way they see it so no matter what the " official " name is wont make any difference in reality so take the cash

call it paradise, celtic park or the excuse not to go shopping with the missus. if celtic were playing in a warehouse on the far side of the galaxy it woodnt matter what the stadium was called.
each and everyone of us will have a special memorie of games or events that happened at celtic park, it doesnt matter what its called. its whats in the tin that matters.
as long as it generated a mountain of cash.......call it what you will.

i do however reserve the right to deny anyone the right to call it ibrox....hahahaha

I personally dont see the point in it as we are financially stable already and dont think the board will be willing to spend ANY money that comes in be it via outgoing players or sponsorship.

To be honest this board are really gettin to me and most Celtic supporters. We need players not money.

Don't see why not, the fans will call it CP, Parkhead or Paradise and we need all the help we can get financially.

Do people actually sneer at Arsenal or Wigan because of the stadium name? I think it's the football that actually does the talking, for example appearances in the last 16 of the CL would have far more impact for our brand than any stadium name change can.

    Yeah

There was talk a while back that it could be renamed 'The Nike Arena', which I find kinda catchy! :50:

Id be all for it, we'd still all call it Celtic Park anyway.

It would be like selling our soul, players come and go, but Celtic is forever. We don't need that sort of money, we just need Dermot Desmond to get his finger out a spend some of his cash, c'mon you've had enough dividend money from the fans, time for you to contribute !!!

So if Nike offered £50m to name the stadium nike park you would say no?
You want Dermot to get his money out,how much money have you invested in Celtic?

He doesnt have big wads of cash in a pile in his basement for * sake, his money will be tied up in investments and are valued at a billion pounds but its extremely unlikely he would even get that much if he were to sell them. Businessmen dont get rich by giving money to anyone for * sake.

Yeah, of course, but people would still call it Celtic Park or Parkhead anyway.

Have you been watching Sky Sports News and heard this about Newcastle?

I don't think its much to worry about, so long as it doesn't include altering the colours of the ground away from the club its happening to and the stadium is already established. I mean, its very rare for the ground of BvB Dortmund to be referred to as anything other than Westfalon, yet I still hear Huddersfields get called the McAlpine...
