How many times against Hearts the other night did he lose the ball? He done 1 good thing in the game which was hittin the bar, he is just over-rated IMO!

Your totally right :50: I think Fox was out of position when he gave away the penalty because he was left with too much to do by McCourt who just stands waiting on the ball to come to him!

Are you saying it was McCourt's fault for Fox giving away that penalty?

No it clearly wasn't McCourt's fault given the Ngumo gave the ball away (again) but the fact is he doesn't every help out the full back enough and Hearts did cause chaos down the left hand side in the 2nd half with Driver! I'd start McGinn ahead of McCourt tomorrow due to the fact that Maloney won't play just because I think we will get more from him defensively!

I would say that the reason Hearts got more joy on the left in the 2nd half was because Driver had the beating of a mediocre Fox. Fox only has to mark Driver, thats his man. If there was constantly 2 men doubling up on Fox then that would be McCourts fault, but that didnt happen.

It's funny, everyone has been goin on about how good fox is all along and yet Hinkel (who is meant to be a rubbish defender) seemed to do a better job on Driver in the 1st half and Fox did in the 2nd half! I personally think Fox isn't half the player Naylor was in his 1st season here, he was outstanding and was a nominated candidate for POTY! I think Fox is over rated!

There is no proof of any of that, apart from the questioning of his fitness.

I love wee paddy, but his lack of fitness is a problem. He can do things that make you get out of your seat and for that he would be involved in my team. As for defenders knowing what he is going to do is *. FFs he looks as if he dizny know what he is going to do until the last second.

He will get better and better i am sure of it.

Fox was "hunted" on Wednesday, no mistake about that, he was dire. But, I still think he is a better player. His free kicks are gash though and if anyone thought he would replace wee Naka then that aint gonna happen. He will probaly score about three in his time with us. Its all the defenders defending that worries me. Our CB's erratic, and the fullbacks better going forward, we need to learn how to defend.

McCourt had same problems at Derry...he gets the ball and heads for goal....Read an interview from him that he was trying to add to his game though....He at least creates something

p.s.I think McCourt lost his starting place at Derry to McGinn before moving to Celtic for the same reasons as he's on the celtic bench now. Needs to create opportunities and space for others as well as himself.

Allthough with the performances of some others in the team would you try pass to them or go on your own?

Paddys got ability, we all know that the problem is i think hes gettin a bit big headed after speaking out earlier in the week saying if he doesnt get a regular startin place he wanted out on loan, apart from 2 good goals against dodgy opposition hes not done an awfullot except show some good skills.

I personally prefer McGinn to paddy, a player who wants to run up n down the flanks all day and create chances for others and not the type to be caught up on his own hype which could be his downfall!

After every poor performance or defeat the usual witch hunt begins - McGeady, Brown, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor, McDonald and Samaras....often justified...sometimes just through frustration.

But I think it is absolutely ridiculous to highlight Paddy McCourt as anything other than an inspiration at this moment in time. This guy arrived without as much as a press conference and there was no expectation realistically that he would offer anything to excite a demanding support base. I have been shocked that this wanderer from the pish Irish Leagues that I once played in can cut the mustard.......but he can...and we should be grateful.

Keep the faith and be proud.....we could be huns!!!!!

Wasn't starting rumours... had just seen a match where mcginn started and McCourt came on as sub. I thought he lost his place to mcginn. Guess he was comin back from injury or something. There is no question he is one of the better players this year... The point is he could be a great player if he improves on the defensive side of his game and starts adding some assists . I'd prefer to see him playing through the middle off the striker. Like gerrard played off torres last year.
Stick mcginn and mcgeady on the wings to get up and down.

We miss that bit of magic since Naka went. McCourt brings it back although in a different way. He makes me stand up from my seat everytime he has the ball ..... i cant remember a player apart from Larsson thats done that to me.
I am not saying he's Henrik but he adds something to our game.
Hail Hail Paddy & at least you want to play he celtic way
