Lennon Assault - Thugs Released

THE two thugs caged for battering Celtic coach Neil Lennon have been released early - with one of the yobs only serving a QUARTER of his sentence.

Vicious Jeffrey Carrigan and David Whitelaw punched and kicked the Hoops legend, 38, unconscious in the attack in Glasgow last year.
Lennon was stunned after learning Carrigan, 43, was released in July. He had served just six months of his two-year sentence - but must wear a tag until January.
However Whitelaw, 47 - who chillingly made a threat to Lennon in a letter from behind bars - is roaming the streets unmonitored after being released last month.
Shockingly, Lennon was not warned the pair were getting out.
Last night a source close to the star said: "It is very worrying."
Tory MSP Bill Aitken added: "This is another ludicrous example of soft touch Scotland in operation."
A jury at Glasgow Sheriff Court convicted the two Rangers fans of attacking Lennon after they had abused him following their side's 4-2 defeat of Celtic earlier that day.
Sheriff Martin Jones branded them "vicious and cowardly".

Didnt they threaten him from inside prison? That alone should mean they serve their full sentence.
