All Killen does is give away fouls.

Apart from skippy killen is the only other striker we have and must be given a chance to see if he can score the goals we need and imo would be more of a danger than samaras who gets a nosebleed whenever he actually manages to get in our opponents box.

    Killin Up Front-Other Ideas

I would give a go at puttin McGeady through the middle, he scored a goal against Aberdeen from that type of area at the start of the season- he should be able to split centre halfs- with Sammy. Then bring in McCourt or McGinn to replace McGeady.Until Fortuna comes back!
Killin is OK- but not dynamic enough for me - I know its not often enough for us but Sammy has and will score some great goals for us!

Killen has not been given a chance at all.

When we play teams we all comment when the big striker rag dolls our defence. Killen can do that for that us. He mite not be the fastest but he is a good SPL Striker and guess what, thats where we play!!!

Our problem just now is that we dont have enough people up fron when we are attacking. Playing Sammy or Brown as the 2nd striker means that we dont have enough people in the box when it gets further up the park. Killen would be there constantly and that is what we need.

I dont think that Killen can play a 90 min game the way that Celtic would demand. He's a reasonable impact sub for his sheer size but I can't see hum being utilised in any other capacity....

Fortune will be getting a few starts shortly I would suspect...

Aye but we know fine well that if Celtic did start to play Killen, you'd then start telling us we should drop him and recall Hutchinson or Sheridan. :50:

What I would say is that Killen has done pretty well under TM. I don't think TM has settled on his 1st choice 11 so everyone has a chance.

I can see the point of both sides of the discussion. He is not great but would give us more options upfront than just playing sammy and Mcdonald.

he might not be the best striker in the world, sammy and fatz are not the best either
so its a loose loose situation.
when killen's in the box, this gives us some height and some one to aim for, when
sammy plays he tends to play wide or deep for that matter.our wingers and wee fatz are dwarfs of the spl.
our corners and set peices are wasted due to us having no height what so ever

no matter what, we need a few 2 meter peter crouches ASAP

I agree, he couldn't do any worse than Skippy atm.
Bingo,,this used to be a department where we really were feared but now, it's a waste of a set piece. This goes for corners as well as free kicks.
