Wilson V Hinkel

I think Wilson played better than any1 else against the huns, and was one of the better players last Saturday!! Along with attack, he can actually defend, unlike Hinkel! In addition, him and Robson, who should both start ahead of Hinkel and Brown tomorrow night, and perhaps Fox, are the only players that go in for crunching tackles!! but anyway back to tomorrow night, please tony DO NOT START hinkel!!!!

 

Hinkel is better i think thats pretty clear.

 

we havent won since hinkel got injured and wilson came in. iv got nothing against wilson i think he puts in the effort but hinkel is clearly a better footballer

 

I do agree with the robson in place of Brown maybe give brown the kick up the backside he needs, but Wilson is no good as well i think Hinkel gets a load of stick he does not deserve , and may i remind you since Hinkel been injured we have not won a game i am not saying hes the answer we should replace him in time but he's the best right back we have in my opinon . but hey that wot makes fooball great the diffrence of opinon. hinkel everyday of the week. wilson is injured more than fit anyway plus id put caddis ahead of him.hinkel does a lot of good going forward

 

Strange thread, Hinkle is one of our most consistent providers of assists in the entire team.

Wilson = decent cover

 

There is no comparision imo. Hinkel is a much better footballer with a far better football brain. Wilson is a decent squad player and cover but nothing more.

 

Hinkel defo first choice and i'd even go as far as to say Caddis as back-up, don't really rate Wilson!

I've said for ages I'd rather have Wilson in the team than Hinkel. Hinkel is widely over-rated. As somebody else once said on here 'he couldn't keep hens oot a close'. Crap defender. He's no bad goin forward though I'll give him that much.

 

absolutely wilson is decent but Hinkel is a far more accomplished player imo; he's in the German national side ffs whereas Wilson cant even get into a shocking Scotland team. happy he's fit for tommorow now I can put on my usual daft bet; Hinkel to score first! Was at the one game where he scored v Hearts and since then i've always hoped he'd pop in the first goal from one of his maurauding runs and win me at least £40!!!

 

You are right, Hinkel is an appalling defender,and defence should be the primary duty of any right back or indeed defender.

Wilson is not much better and is very injury prone. I would rate Caddis above both Hinkel and Wilson, but Caddis's lack of stature is a problem here.
We definitely need to purchase a quality right back in January imo as well as a quality experienced centre back probably to partner Loovens, unless of course we bring Darren O'Dea back in the January window, which I would be satisfied with.We need to get this right back problem spot fixed as soon as possible because we are haemorrhaging most of our goals down the right flank.It has now become as critical as the left back spot was for many years, but I am content now that we have Danny Fox who I rate highly. So to summarize we need a new quality riight back and centre back in January, if we have any credible aspirations of having a watertight defence.

hinkel has better delivery, composure on the ball, and is better at keeping the ball

Hinkel is a good defender, certainly no worse than Wilson.

In attack though he's on another level, before his injury he could well have been our leading provider of assists. As Tictical Genius said, Wilson is merely good cover. Caddis I can only imagine is considered more of a right-winger, which doesn't bode well for his future.

 

Wilson aint half the player Hinkel is, we have proved how much we miss players such as Hinkel, Fox and Robson.
