Ye i think he will leave sooner rather than later too but in order for him to do so a team is going to have to bid for him and there don't seem to be too many top teams sniffing about!

Here is the 30 man ballon d'Or shortlist (which Arshavin is in). Can anyone really imagine McGeady ever being on this list?

Arshavin looks like he could finish as the best thing in the EPL this season. I doubt Mc Geady will finish as the best in the SPL.

I also believe he would improve playing with better players but can't see any of the top six clubs in the EPL bothering with him.
    Another wasted Scottish talent.

of course but no one would swap arshavin for aiden, and theres ur answer.

aiden will never be as good as arshavin, ever , ever, ever. there two different class player, aiden fairly average, decent pace , no end product, looks half decent at patchs throughout the season in one of the worst leagues in europe. - arshavin is a * genius.

Right now I would yes. Reasons being Arshavin is more experienced, has played at the top top level and is the finished article.

Where does it say McGeady is better than Arshavin? :87:

I agree with every single word BBJ has said and I've been saying it for months and months as well. He is a couple of simple things away from being world class and I genuinely believe that. I watch football from every single league in the world and McGeady 1 on 1 with a full back, at any level, is up there with the best wingers in the best leagues. He still wants to do too much on his own and his shooting is still not good enough but in every other aspect he is top drawer.

Other than his final ball (which is a pretty big attribute for a winger) and his decision making. The rest is irrelevant if you can't do the basics.
I'm sorry Hammer, he just isn't good enough imo.

Ye have to agree with this, there are more aspects of his game that need improved than there are aspects that are 'top drawer' imo!

    McGeady better than Arshavin? :56:

That's a good one. I'm off to change my underwear now.

His final ball and goalscoring ability aren't within a country mile of Arshavin and I doubt they ever will be.

mcgeady potentially can be a good player but in reality he is becoming a circus act that can only keep the ball for a while with some neat tricks until he is ganged up on by defenders.

surely if everyone is saying he needs to pass more he would? is he 2 arrogant or stupid? has to be one of them.

His final ball is massively over criticised, it's better than Maloneys for example who appears to have duped everyone into believing he is fantastic at crossing and free kicks.

If McGeady would release the ball earlier when there is more than 1 defender on him, which happens in every single match bar none including against the World Cup holders, he would instantly be a far better footballer. He can pass, he can dribble, he is quick, he is strong on the ball, he'll run back and forward all day and he can even tackle as well.

He still has the same problem he had when he was chapping O'Neill's door at 15 wanting a game in the first team, he thinks he can win matches on his own because he's been the best player at every age group since he was in primary 1. He was the best prospect in Britain at 12, even moreso than Joe Cole and Wayne Rooney, he just hasn't taken the next couple steps to marry his natural talent to actual end product for the entire team. He's still young and I personally reckon we'll be lucky to have him for another 2 seasons.
